Nagios Log Server – Features
The Industry Standard in IT Infrastructure Monitoring
Nagios® is the leader and industry standard in enterprise-class network management solutions. It serves the needs of thousands of
organizations in both horizontal and vertical markets by enabling them to identify and resolve IT infrastructure problems before they
affect critical business processes. Nagios Log Server is designed to analyze, collect, and store log data based on custom
specifications, and provide users with extended insight into the data on their network's infrastructure.
Features Overview:
Comprehensive Analysis Dashboards
A powerful dashboard system provides users with the ability to query, filter,
and analyze incoming log events. Easily drill down to the important
information and view patterns with advanced visualization elements.
Additionally, dashboards can be customized, saved, and shared with others.
Gain extended insight into the health of your network's infrastructure with one
quick view.
High Availability and Failover
Nagios Log Server comes pre-packaged with high availability and failover capabilities. Log Server uses a cluster of servers to
automatically store log data to prevent data loss and ensure availability of your log information. Cluster servers automatically
failover in the event of an outage to maintain the integrity of your historical data.
Alerting
Get notified when something goes wrong. Create alerts based on queries with
thresholds of your choosing and send them to proper team members via email,
SNMP traps, custom command line scripts, or integrated into your existing
Nagios monitoring solution. Users have the ability to see alerts directly in the
interface as well, allowing for quick problem resolution.
Highly Scalable
Nagios Log Server has a highly scalable architecture, so as your organization
grows you can easily add additional cluster instances to give you more power,
speed, storage, and reliability. Log Server is designed to adapt to your
organization regardless of size.
Configuration Wizards
Configuration wizards in Nagios Log Server allow you to easily set up devices to be monitored. Begin receiving log data from a
designated source with just a few clicks using easy to follow step by step instructions.
Quick Search and Query
Nagios Log Server greatly simplifies the process of searching your log data.
Your data is stored in one location, and can be searched with multiple queries
and filters allowing you to quickly drill down to the exact problem you are
searching for. With all your logs stored in one location it is also easy to correlate
events on multiple systems based on the time they occurred.
Extendable Architecture
Administrators have full access to the backend API allowing for limitless
customization with in-house and third-party applications, including the querying
of any of the log data as is done through the web UI. Nagios Log Server can
adapt to any environment and meet your specific needs.
Seamless Product Integration
Integrate Nagios Log Server with Nagios XI or Nagios Core for advanced alerting capabilities and increased security for your
entire IT infrastructure.
Real Time Data
Nagios Log Server lets you see your log data from all of your servers in real time, providing users the ability to quickly analyze
and solve problems as they occur. Increase network awareness and proactively monitor your network.
