Evensong is sung according to the BCP Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 6pm in All Saints. There is Evening Prayer Monday to Thursday at 5pm at Christ Church. Prayers Mission and Community Concern: Jubilee Debt Campaign raising awareness about International debt and global poverty as part of a global movement to break the chains of debt. Parish/Church Concern: For those who will attend memorial and remembrance services in the coming weeks and for all who struggle to come to terms with the reality of death. World/UK Concern: For volunteers and soldiers travelling to West Africa to work with those facing the Ebola virus. Community: For those who see no option but to turn to criminal activity as a solution for their problems. Sponsorship cards available after the 10am services this morning, and 26th October, Richmond Welcare Open Evening, Wednesday 22nd October, 4 - 7pm.at St Stephen’s Church, East Twickenham TW1 2PD. An opportunity to find out more about Welcare’s work with children and families in the borough of Richmond and to meet Welcare staff and volunteers. The Parish supports Welcare through our annual mission giving. Richmond Council “Question Time” forum about the future shape of East Sheen. This Thursday 23rd October from 6.30 – 8.30 in All Saints. Come and hear answers to some pre-submitted questions in the first hour and ask some of your own in the second hour. All Saints Memorial Service next Sunday 26th October at3.00pm. everyone welcome. Supporting our children on Sunday mornings: ‘Smilers’ (our group for 5+ children) has a talented team of storytellers and helpers but we are in need of one or two more people to come on board as a helper. This involves welcoming children, recording attendance, supporting craft activities, preparing refreshments (water and biscuits) and helping clear away afterwards. If you would be willing to help out (perhaps All Saints Lunch on Sunday 2nd November at 12.30 will be an opportunity for you to gather with other members of our church family for lunch. Tickets are £10 for adults, £5 for children age 5-12 and under 5s are free. Main course, dessert and entertainments with wine and soft drinks available at the bar. Tickets available after Sunday services until November. All Saints Choral Evensong We invite the other churches in the parish to join us for the end of our day of celebration. Karen Seggie, who is currently preparing for ordination at Cuddesdon Theological college near Oxford, will join us as our visiting preacher. 2nd November, 5.00pm, followed by refreshments. Confirmation 2015: The next Confirmation Service in the Parish will be on 7th June 2015 at 4pm at All Saints. Classes for adults and for teenagers will be held next year but it isn’t too early to think whether you might be ready to be confirmed or to talk to one of the clergy. As usual, this will be a Parish event, so choir members and others may like to put the date in their diaries. Parish Christmas Lunch & Tea: Help needed before and on the day with cooking, serving, raffle gifts, driving, organising, entertaining, socialising, lending equipment.
