Airports Company South Africa SOC Ltd invites suitably qualified companies to bid for the maintenance

of airport luggage trolleys and trolley movers at O R Tambo International Airport.

COLLECTION OF BID DOCUMENTS
Documents will be available for collection upon payment
of a non-refundable cash deposit of R200.00 between
09:00 and 14:00, weekdays only from 17 October 2014
until 07 November 2014. Bid documents may be collected
from Sibusiso Ndlovu, Finance Department, Cashiers’
Office, 4th Floor, ACSA North Wing Offices, O R Tambo
International Airport.
COMPULSORY CLARIFICATION SESSION
A compulsory clarification session will be held at 10:00, on
Friday 24 October 2014 at the Tlou 1 & 2 Boardroom, 4th
Floor, ACSA North Wing Offices, O R Tambo International
Airport. A maximum of two persons per Respondent
will be allowed to attend the site inspection which will
follow immediately after the briefing session.
CLOSING DATE
The Bid closes on Friday, 14 November 2014 at 12:00
(South African Time). All bid documentation (in triplicate)
must be sealed in a clearly marked envelope and placed
in the Bid box situated at ACSA Administration Building,
North Wing Offices, Reception, 4th Floor, O R Tambo
International Airport.
NB: No Bid will be awarded to any person whose tax
matters have not been declared in order by South African
Revenue Service.
LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
ACSA reserves the right to withdraw, cancel or not
award any bid issued.
EVALUATION
Complete bids will be evaluated in two phases:
MANDATORY ADMINISTRATION CRITERIA
Bids that do not meet any one of the following criteria
(valid proof/certification must be provided) will be
disqualified and will not be evaluated further:
1. No letter of Non Performance in the form of Nonconformance against the Bidder is in effect.
2. It is estimated that Bidders should have a CIDB
Contractor Grading of 4ME or higher.
3. The lack of an original SARS Tax Clearance Certificate
with no explanation/application of same will be
disqualified.
4. Attendance of compulsory clarification and site session.
5. Acceptance of Terms and Conditions of the Bid.
Phase one - Functionality
Tenderers proposal – 40 Points
Maintenance programme – 30 Points
References and Experience – 30 Points
Only bidders scoring a minimum of 60 points out of 100
for functionality will be considered for further evaluation
on Price and B-BBEE.
Phase two – Price and B-BBEE
This Bid will be scored using the 90:10 preferential points
system with 90 reflecting Price and 10 reflecting B-BBEE
recognition. In order to qualify for B-BBEE recognition,
ACSA will only accept B-BBEE certificates from SANAS
accredited verification agencies as proof of B-BBEE
status.
