2. The following questions on subject RFP are hereby answered:
Q. Why is DPS developing a pilot program for medical and psychological services?
A. Because the Department of Public Safety is looking for a one stop shop.
Q. What are the main drivers to have a pilot program for medical and psychological
services for the DPS?
A. Please see the answer to the first question.
Q. Has there been a similar program in the past? If yes, how will this program differ and
what is the status of the previous program?
A. The Department has not had a one stop shop for Medical and Psychological services. We
currently have separate contracts for each service.
Q. Annually, how many pre-employment physicals have been performed in the past and
how many are expected during the pilot period?
A. Based on FY 13-14, annual estimate is 600 applicants in pilot area.
Q. Annually, how many psychological tests are performed in the past and how many are

A. Not in association with agency requirements but based on legal or Board requirements of
clinician’s licensure.
Q. We understand that DACJJ-CC, DACJJ-JJ and DACJJ-P will participate in this program,
will any other agency (potentially) be added during the pilot?
A. No
Q. Currently, how many employee are in each of these divisions?
A. Adult Corrections-includes Prisons and Community Corrections has approximately 20,000
positions and Juvenile Justice has approximately 1,300.
Q. How many new candidates are expected to undergo medical and psychological
testing?
A. Based on FY 13-14, annual estimate is 600 applicants in pilot area.
Q. Will any current employees have to medical or psychological testing? If so how many?
A. No
Q. Are there specific consent/release forms that the State wishes the vendor to use. If so,
can you supply us with a copy?
A. No, recommend form of vendor choice be used.
Q. It states that offeror must provide in advance a list of established criteria/reasons for a
deferred decision on psychological evaluation; How much in advance and to whom should
this list be provided?
A. In accordance with the RFP, the list of established criteria shall be submitted with the

Q. Will the State provide office space to chosen vendor? Or will the vendor be situated at
their own office(s)? If the State provides space what is the square footage? Is there
appropriate urine collection space for drug screens available?
A. The vendor shall be situated at their own office.
Q. Is there a private space onsite in order to perform medical exams or will this be done
at the vendor's sight?
A. This shall be done at the vendor’s site.
Q. Will the State provide computers and internet connections?
A. No
