 SCHOOL FEES SCHEDULE FOR 2014 - 2015
APPLICATION PROCESSING FEE
The application processing fee for the 2014/15 School Year is THB 5,000. This fee is payable when
an application is submitted to the Admissions Office.
SECURITY DEPOSIT (REFUNDABLE)
The security deposit fee is THB 100,000. This fee is refundable upon 30 days of prior notice or 30 days from the
last day of attendance, whichever is later.
For students in Nursery, the security deposit will be THB 50,000, with an additional security fee of THB 50,000
upon entrance to PYP one.
CAPITAL LEVY (NON-REFUNDABLE)
The Capital Levy is THB 130,000. This is a one-time, non-refundable fee per family, regardless of the number of
children in the family. For those families who begin in Nursery, the fee will be a one off fee of THB 65,000.

EDUCATION OUTSIDE THE CLASSROOM (EOTC FEE)
This fee contributes to the costs associated with sponsoring off-campus trips, which, under school policy, are
part of the regular curriculum of the school. This is not an optional payment.

EXAMINATION FEES AND LEGALIZATION REQUIREMENTS AND FEES
Kindly note that any examination fees levied by external agencies, such as the International Baccalaureate,
as well as legalization requirements and fees, are the responsibility of the family, not the school.
PRORATION OF FEES
There is no proration of fees for students who leave early in any term. For students who arrive on or after the
following dates in each of the first two terms, only half of the initial term's fees is payable:

2 March 2015 in the second term
Note: there is no proration of fees in the third term
SIBLING DISCOUNT
A sibling discount of 10% is applied to tuition for the second child and the first child’s fee is the standard rate.
20% is applied to the third child and each additional child. If the oldest child should leave, the sibling
discount is adjusted accordingly.

Tuition, EOTC and Lunch and snack fees are payable in three termly instalments:
Term 1 = 40%, Term 2 = 30% and Term 3 = 30%
For new students the tuition, security deposit and capital levy fees are due at the time of enrolment.
Payment for all students must be paid in full before the first day of each term. Students whose fees
are not paid on time will be refused entry to classes.
PAYMENT OF SCHOOL FEES
Fees are payable in Thai Baht, net of any bank charges. If a cheque is returned unpaid, a THB 500 charge will
be added to the invoice, which will then be immediately payable. Please enquire at the Accounts Office or
refer to the invoice.

OVERDUE PAYMENTS
Interest charges for late payment:
• Failure to pay due fees will result in families being asked to keep their children at home until outstanding
fees have been paid.
• Interest at 5% will charged on the outstanding balance at 30 days overdue.
UNIFORM
A new school uniform has been designed and developed for 2014 – 15. Samples will be shown in Term 3,
and all uniform items will be for sale by the beginning of the next academic year.
WITHDRAWALS
Students leaving the school are required to clear all obligations before final records will be forwarded to the
next school and the Security Deposit returned. This includes borrowed resources, library books and other
school materials. Please contact the Admissions Office for a Withdrawal Form. Under contract, parents/
guardians must either give one term’s notice of withdrawal or pay the equivalent of one term’s fees in lieu of
notice.

MEDICAL INSURANCE COVERAGE
Please be aware that until the school tuition fee is paid for each student, the school
cannot accept the student(s) into class. Once the fees are paid, PIADS covers the child through the
American Insurance Association up to THB 10,000 per incident.

Methods of Payment
Payment should be made using one of the following methods:
1. You may pay in cash. However, we appreciate tuition fee payment in other forms as listed below.
2. By Banker’s Draft or Cashier’s cheque payable to Phuket International Academy Day School.
3. By Cheque payable to Phuket International Academy Day School. The cheque should be crossed // ‘AC
Payee Only’. Please send your cheque to reach the School Office at least two weeks before the due
date to allow for bank clearance.
4. By bank transfer through Bill Payment service at any branch of Siam Commercial Bank. The Bill Payment
Form sent to you with the school invoice should be filled in and presented to the bank with the payment.

ensure that your payment covers all bank charges.
