Senior Boys Basketball Tryouts
There will be only ONE tryout for anyone interested in playing on the Sr. Boys basketball team. The tryout is SUNDAY
NOV 2 12:15 - 2:30 For those that think they will make the team please have your first payment of $100 on hand as the
first tournament is Nov 6th.

Wrestling starts November 3 after school in the cafeteria - Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Males and females

welcome – any weight size to 115 kg & 130 kg. The first of five wrestling tournaments start November 21 including a
home tournament on December 12th. Pick up your paperwork in room 110.

French Trip to Montreal
We will be holding a student and parent information night Thursday October 30th at 6:30pm in Alumni Hall. Submission
of registration form and first payment will be due November 14th starting at 8:30a.m.in room 314.
Girls Varsity Hockey
All girls interested in playing varsity hockey this year sign up at the PE office and make sure to take a permission form.
The form must be signed before you will be able to step on the ice for the try out. There will also be a meeting
Thursday morning at 8:30 am in the Aerobic Room, bring your signed form to the meeting. If you have any questions
see Coach deJeu in the Phys. Ed. office.
Senior Girls Volleyball
All girls interested in playing senior girls volleyball there will be a meeting on Thursday October 30th in the aerobics
room at 8:00 am. Please come out and play for a great school team, new players welcomed to tryout!
Senior Boys Football
The senior boy’s football team had a hard fought 21-13 victory over Huron Heights on Friday. Scoring touchdowns for the
Eagles was Jack B. and Nolan P. with one each. Nathan M. had two field goals. The defense had an outstanding effort,
getting 4 turnovers. The boys will play their final regular season home game this Friday at 3:00 vs. KCI. Be sure to
come out and show your support!

Social Action Team
On Halloween night members of your Social Action Team will be going around our neighbourhoods to collect nonperishable food items for the Food Bank of Waterloo. Just a reminder to ask your parents/guardians to have some items

Junior Boys Soccer
Please congratulate the members of the Jr Boys Soccer team on their win in the D8 final. The boys played extremely well
and will represent the district at CWOSSA this coming Thursday and Friday.

KPL needs Volunteers
The Country Hills branch is looking for volunteers for our Reading Buddies program. It is held on Tuesday nights, starting
on October 7 until November 25, from 6:00 to 7:00 pm. You will be paired with a child in Grades 1 to 4, and help them with
reading practice. If you are 16 years of age or over and interested in this great opportunity, come to the library and fill out
a volunteer application form. You will be contacted for an interview.
Kitchener Youth Action Council
Kitchener Youth Action Council is looking for volunteers. They meet every Thurs from 6-7:30 at the Downtown Community
Center. Come out and be part of city wide events. New members are always welcome and can join at any time.
