- Positive Outlook for the Region
With a population of over 600 million, Southeast Asia continues
to rank among the world’s fastest developing regions, with key
markets such as Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia and
Singapore representing a thriving trade and economic hub. An
enormous potential for development is the integration of the
national economic areas into a single market base for goods,
services, investments, and skilled labour by 2015 – under the
ASEAN Economic Community (AEC).
