SCHOOL NEWS & INFORMATION
ST. JUDE FEAST DAY: Our annual prayer service and school-wide picnic will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 28th.
Each homeroom has been assigned a “prayer partner” homeroom; they will exchange prayer intentions, complete an activity, and eat lunch with together. This activity is for SJS students only. We are looking forward to celebrating our patron
saint!
THANK YOU: A big thanks to Mrs. Legendre and all the parent volunteers and shoppers who made this year’s book fair
a “royal” event! We can’t wait until next year!
HALLOWEEN SPIRIT DRESS: Please help the St. Jude Beta Club raise money for Drew Moscona Trust
Fund! On Friday, October 31st a student may wear Halloween free dress with a $1 donation.. Attire guidelines
are either a Halloween theme shirt OR black and/or orange shirt with jeans (no colored jeans) or uniform bottoms. Girls may wear flats or boots. Socks must be worn with tennis shoes. If sending a check, please make
payable to “Drew Moscona Trust Fund.” To find out more, please visit www.carepages.com and search
“TeamDrew.” Remember, class Halloween parties are scheduled for 2:00pm.
ALL SAINTS PARADE: We will celebrate All Saints Day (Saturday, Nov. 1st) at the November 3rd school liturgy beginning at 8:15am; we will have a Parade of Saints just prior to the start of mass. All parents are invited to attend. Dress
uniforms are required and a donation to the food bank is always appreciated on mass days.
NO BUSES: Please note that there will be no bus service on Tuesday, November 4th, Election Day! Carpool will begin at
7:25am.
AFTERNOON CARPOOL: Please do NOT park in the grass on the corner of our parking lot and Gardere. This obstructs the view of those trying to make a left turn.
TURKEY DOLLAR DAY: Community Cougars will be collecting dollars on Tuesday, November 11th. The money
raised will go to St. Vincent de Paul to provide turkeys to accompany the food baskets which will be distributed to those in
need for Thanksgiving.
GRANDPARENTS DAY: Grandparents Day is scheduled for Friday, November 21st at 8:45am in the activity center.
Our theme this year is “Let’s go to the Movies.” We ask that all grandparents and special persons refrain from arriving on
campus before 8:15am due to carpool and bus drop off. Permission slips will be sent home in the next week which will
allow students to leave school with their grandparent. Due to very limited seating, parents and siblings are only invited to
attend the rehearsal only on Thursday, Nov. 20 at 1:30pm. Letters detailing dress requirements for your child(ren) will go
home next week. Please contact Mrs. Pam Gautreaux with any questions!
