and place in the large Mite Box as we leave the sanctuary.
Church Council Announces nominations to the Board: At the October Voters meeting on
Sunday, October 26 at Noon in Fellowship Hall (the church basement) we will be electing the
new officers to the Church Council. Ralph Bock, John Iverson, Bridget Lindau and Brett
Russert have agreed to serve on our Church Council for three years. If you would like to
nominate someone (or volunteer yourself), please contact Karl Miller at 608-314-3083 or

service!
You’re invited to join the Adult Fellowship Club on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at 6p in
Fellowship Hall (the church basement). We begin the evening with a meal; please bring a dish
to share. About 7p, we welcome as our speaker Darlene Boyd-DeZeeuw of Wisconsin River
Bank. She will present information on how to protect our finances from scammers. All adults
of the congregation are welcome to join us.
Mark Your Calendars: Only a few short weeks until the 5th annual Craft and Gift sale
to be held in the School Gym on Saturday, November 8 from 9 AM until 3 PM. If you have
your booth reserved, great. If not, call Edith Mossner ASAP at 373-0494. There are a few left.
This sale benefits the school and we can use as many volunteers as possible. There is a
need for muscle on Friday and Saturday for set up and take down, but also we need people to
do some baking for the bake sale and also we need dependable workers to man the snack area.
Please call Edith or Judy Goth (752-1475) to offer your help. We are good workers but we
sure can't do it by ourselves. Why not get the family together and lend us your help for 2 or 3
hours on Saturday?!?
Do you like to bake? We’d love donations of baked goods to sell in the snack area.
You can bring your donations to the back door of school after 3p on Friday, November 7
(during our set-up) or between 8a-9a on Saturday morning, November 8, (before the Craft
Sale opens). Thank you for your help.
It’s Not Too Late to Join the “Art of Living by Faith” Class. We meet Sundays from 3 to
4:30p in the school conference room. This is an adult confirmation course on the Bible-based
teachings of the Lutheran Church. If you are wishing to join St. Paul’s congregation, this is the
class for you. For more information, please contact Pastor Dan Decker at 608-754-4471 ext.
201; 608-322-5839 or [email protected].
Volunteer Opportunity: The snow clearing task force is looking for volunteers to help clear
snow from the Church and School sidewalks throughout the winter. Volunteers would be on
call for an entire week and would need to clear snow during their assigned period. This would
include weekday and weekend coverage. Volunteers with children enrolled at St. Paul’s will
receive a credit of 10 hours of volunteer time for signing up and one hour for each hour they
clear snow. (So yes, if it doesn’t snow your week, you still receive the credit!) Please contact
Mark Toberman at 608-876-6646 and leave a message to sign up. Thank you.
Do you, or someone you know, need leaves raked from your yard? Our Youth would

immediate families). The meal will consist of lasagna, salad, bread, desserts, and beverages.

by Mon., Oct. 27. You can find a form in this edition of “Opportunities”, make reservations
online (bit.ly/veteransmeal), or simply email Mr. Fenrick ([email protected]).

you are willing to host, please indicate that on the form, too. If you are the host, you determine
the exact time of dinner on Nov. 11, location, and meal plan. (For example you host in your
home, but plan potluck asking each family to bring a dish or you could plan a "pizza party",
etc.) We will contact the host with more information. If you have questions please feel free to
