About OpenBiome:
OpenBiome is a nonprofit healthcare startup expanding clinical access to Fecal Microbiota Transplantation
(FMT), a highly effective therapy for C. difficile, the nation’s most common hospital-acquired infection. We are
currently partnering with 130 hospitals in over 30 states to treat C. difficile patients while leading new research
efforts in this emerging field.
Job Description:
We are looking for a full-time Business Development Associate to help expand our network of hospital and
physician partners. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, mission-driven, a quick learner, and detail-oriented.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Engaging with doctors and hospital staff by phone and email to educate them on FMT and how to work
with OpenBiome
• Managing relationships with existing clinical partners
• Finalizing and processing orders and providing support throughout the ordering process
• Being the outward face of OpenBiome to new clinical partners
Qualifications
• BA/BS Degree
• Demonstrated interest in nonprofit business management, business development, biotechnology, or the
life sciences
• Highly detail-oriented and open to receiving both formal and informal feedback
• Customer-service mindset and willingness to engage enthusiastically and confidently with new clinical
partners
• Ability to learn quickly and speak with confidence on technical topics
• Passion, humility, and excitement for doing whatever it takes to meet a great public health need
