Luncheon. Funds raised at this event support the Central Florida
Council’s Scoutreach Division, which serves thousands of at-risk youth.
Established in 1978, the Whitney M. Young, Jr. Service Award is named
for the late civil rights leader and Urban League Executive Director. The
award recognizes outstanding service by an individual or organization
in the development of Scouting for culturally and economically diverse
youth. The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to instill values in
young people for their lifetime.
