“On the repairs I receive from my client, a local Harley Davidson® dealer,
I use AutoBorne Sealers for small repairs. In the past I used 2k primer or a
lacquer primer. I apply AutoBorne Sealers directly over body work. The
drying time is quicker than the 2k primer and doesn't create halos or have
potential lift issues experienced with the Lacquer primers around the
edges of the paint repair area. I apply AutoBorne Sealers with the sealer's
color matched to the color of the base paint, allowing the OEM base color
to cover completely with only 2 coats. Before using AutoBorne tinted
sealers, it took about 6 coats of the OEM color to cover. Sometimes, I've
been able to use the AutoBorne Sealer as the base color, clearing over it
directly. Recently, I matched Harley Davidson® yellow pearl by simply
applying 2 coats of an OEM gold pearl directly over the AutoBorne Sealer
Yellow. My client loves the results, quick turnaround time and exact color
match.”
