BOBS Bid Bond Form: Amended Language
Occasionally, bid closing get extended when Bid Bonds have
already been provided. Typically, these are short extensions
which do not complicate the bidding process.
Interactive displays and unique exhibits to provide information about industry
and the science behind LNG, including participation from Science World British
Columbia.
However, when the closing extension is for a longer period of
time, the question is raised about whether the Bid Bond is still
valid. This may sometimes require the bond provider to issue a
rider on the Bond to accommodate the extension.
Dates and locations of the LNG energy seminars are:
Fort St. John, North Peace Cultural Centre: November 4th &5th
Terrace, Best Western Terrace Inn: November 9th & 10th
Prince Rupert, North Coast Convention Centre: November 18th & 19th
To respond to these situations (which expend unnecessary
resources from the BOBS Administrative Staff and those issuing
the bonds), we are adding language to the BCCA No. 204 Bid
Bond to accommodate possible bid closing date changes.
2014 Construction Safety Conference:
Bridging the Gap
Effective November 3, 2014, all Bid Bonds issued online
through BidCentral Online Bidding for Subcontractors (BOBS)
will have the following additional language added after the
‘Project Name’:
WHEREAS, the Principal has submitted a written Bid to the
Obligee, for
(project name) which closes on the
day of
, in the year
, or at such a later date as
may be determined by the Bid Calling Authority; such later date
not to exceed thirty (30) days from the original closing date.
The 9th annual Bridging the Gap conference is a two-day conference on safety
in the construction industry. The all-plenary session format means you won’t
need to select which session to attend – you can enjoy every session of these
two jam-packed days with your peers. You’ll also have the opportunity to hear
about new resources from WorkSafeBC and our conference partners, watch
