The Trustees of Amber Trust are obliged by law to operate a checking procedure for
employees who have access to vulnerable people.
Under the terms of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exemptions) and
(Amendment) Order 1986 there are occasions where convictions, although normally ‘spent’
can be taken into account. Because of the nature of the role Amber Trust undertakes,

appointed, then this could result in dismissal or disciplinary action by Amber
