P.S. 95 Newsletter

Dear Parents,
I am so thrilled to have met so many P.S. 95 parents. In this short period of
time, I have been welcomed as a member of the P.S. 95 family. Thank you!!
Please know that I am available to meet with parents every school day and
answer any questions or concerns. Please feel free to visit me in room 117 right
in the main entrance. You are also welcome to call or email. Every Tuesday we
hold parent workshops at 8:30 a.m. All families are encouraged to attend. At
every workshop we offer important information as well as hot refreshments.
Thank you parents for being active members in your child’s education. Together
we can share the responsibility for our children’s success.

P.S. 95 Newsletter
Dear Families,
I would like to start my newsletter this month by thanking our staff, parents, students,
and community members on a job well done at our Second Annual Community Parade! Our
students had a wonderful time marching down Avenue U and viewing all of our artwork proudly
displayed on our store front windows. Our parade was organized, safe and enjoyable for all of its
participants. Thank you for your hard work and cooperation in making our Second Annual
Community Parade a success!
This month we have many exciting activities planned for you and your family. Parent
Teacher Conferences are scheduled for this month. This is an opportunity for families to meet
with their child’s teacher and discuss the progress their child is making with this year’s standard
based expectations. We also invite you to join us during open school week, during the week
November 17th. This is an opportunity for families to view a lesson in their child’s classroom.
On Tuesday, November 18, 2014 we will also host our Math Family Fun Night. We hope that you
will be able to participate in these events.
As a school community, we must continue to improve student attendance. Parents are
reminded that student attendance is carefully monitored and used to determine promotional
decisions at the end of the school year. Please make sure your child attends school daily and is
on time so they do not miss important instruction. Students should NOT leave school early. All
appointments should be scheduled after school hours.

can guarantee great success for our students!
