School Collection: $792.00
Thank you for your generosity!
This weekend, the second collection is for our Poor
& Needy Fund.
Next weekend, the second collection is for the
Campaign for Human Development and Home
Missions.
POOR & NEEDY FUND COLLECTION
A few years ago, a parishioner gave us a donation to
be used specifically for the poor & needy. A separate
account was established and over the years donations
were made from these funds to various charitable
organizations and individuals who were in desperate
need. Currently there is less than $1,000 remaining
in the account. There will be a second collection next
weekend to replenish the funds so we can continue
to help those who need it most.
SANCTUARY FLOWERS
The flowers decorating our Sanctuary this weekend
are for a special intention for Victor, Paul, John, and
Carla. Thank you for the beautiful flowers.
CATHOLIC CAMPAIGN
Next week, we will take up the Collection for the
Catholic Campaign for Human Development which
includes Home Missions (CCHD). CCHD was
founded 40 years ago by the bishops of the United
States when they realized that the lives of those in
need would not improve until the systems and
policies that keep people in poverty were changed.
For 40 years, CCHD has funded community groups
that seek justice and create lasting change. Fight
poverty in America. Defend human dignity. Give
to the CCHD Collection.
NEW FLAG POLES
You may have noticed the new flag poles on your
way into mass this weekend. The Polish Flag and
the Vatican Flag will now wave beside the American
Flag in front of our church. These new flags were
installed to commemorate the canonization of Pope
John Paul II.
CHRISTMAS WAFER (OPLATKI)
The Christmas Wafer (Oplatki) is now available.
You may pick up Oplatki for yourself or your family
in the sacristy or rectory. When you send greetings
to distant family or friends, include the bread. This
is a sign of love, friendship, and unity. There is no
charge as this is our gift to you, but it would be
greatly appreciated if you can please make a
donation to the organization, Polish Gift of Life, Inc.
P.O. BOX 273, Albertson, NY 11507. This
organization helps Polish children in need,
particularly those with congenital heart disease, who
are flown to the United States for life-saving
procedures they would not be able to receive
otherwise.
Please visit their website at

Mc-GANN MERCY THEATRE COMPANY
On November 20th - 22nd, the members of the
award winning McGann-Mercy Theatre Company
will perform their version of Ken Ludwig’s
situational comedy, "Moon Over Buffalo". Set in the
1950’s, this comedy revolves around two aging
actors working in a repertory theatre in Buffalo, New
York, striving for their “big shot” at fame, who learn
that Frank Capra would be coming to see their
matinee and might cast them in one of his
films. Apparently, the universe conspires against
them, and anything that could go wrong or awry
does. Running from Thursday, November
20th through Saturday, November 22nd in the school
auditorium, the show starts at 7:30 pm. Tickets are
$10 per person and are sold at the door. For more
