“Splatten Sprint”

Announcement – Cornwall Motor Cross Club Ltd will organise an open Sprint event held under an ACU “ Special
Permit”, the ACU National Sporting Code of the ACU, these Supplementary regulations and any Final instructions that
may be issued

The point of contact for any Child Protection Issues shall be the Secretary of the meeting
Definition: The event will be a Sprint Enduro – a multi special test competition. The course will be on private land and
consist of farmed woodland, natural woodland and open fields. Special test length will be in the region of 10 to 12
minutes. The number of special test for each class will be advised by the organisers. For further advice please see the
current ACU handbook.
Each rider will complete a timed lap when called upon to do so. The results will be based on the sum total of the times
of the riders total laps
Riders will be informed 10 minutes (approx) prior to the start of each special test lap It is then the rider’s responsibility
to ensure he/she arrives in the waiting zone in good time.
A Start Area Coordinator will then notify each rider when they must start each special test. Only one
mechanic/assistant per rider is allowed in the waiting zone.
Riders will start in the class order on each lap unless otherwise stated by the organisers
Any rider that fails to complete a lap of the special test will be awarded the time of the slowest overall

Failure to start any given lap (i.e. due to mechanical problems) will result in a riders being awarded
the time of the slowest rider in their class, plus three minutes.
Insurance - “The insurance cover for this event will be Basic (limit of liability £10M) and Medical Malpractice
insurance (limit of liability £5m) is included. There is NO Personal Accident Insurance for Competitors.
Competitors are therefore strongly recommended to purchase such Cover which is available through the
Locktons website (www.locktonmotorsport.com) or the ACU website (www.acu.org.uk)”.
Limit of Entry – First 80 Solos received in the post or on-line (if available) with full payment
Classes – Championship, Expert, Clubman, Sportsman
Entries – to be made on the correct entry form for the event and to be received by the entries secretary no later than 9th
November 2014. Cornwall Motor Cross Club membership £7.50 per annum – Also, if day licence required please pay
with entry at £10 per entrant. Online entry also available at www.cornwallmxclub.co.uk

Entry Fees – Solos £35. Cheques, in all instances, payable to “Cornwall Motor Cross Club Ltd”
Club Membership & ACU Licences will be inspected on the day
Machines – Enduro or Motocross machines Any tyre choice can be used, no more than 96Dba (Noise test will be
present)
Clothing – As per National Sporting Code - Knee length boots, Gloves & Helmet (with minimum ACU silver standard)

TRANSPONDERS ARE REQUIRED FOR THIS EVENT
Course – Enduro style clearly defined track with woodland & open fields of approximately 8kms.
Technical Inspection – 8.00am – 9.00 am
Start Times – 10.00am
Event Duration – Test length will be in the region of 10-12 minutes
Abandonment – The organisers reserve the right to alter, change or cancel any class or the event in total if
circumstances demand it
Non Starters – As per Cornwall Centre rules all entrants who do not take part must send a satisfactory reason for their
absence to the Secretary of the Meeting within 7 days of the event (Verbal excuses not accepted)
