The paid 13-week Spring and Fall program is open to college seniors and juniors from all Pennsylvania
colleges and universities. The paid 10-week Summer program is open to Graduate students.
Weekly workshops with key thinkers, planners and decision-makers provide an in-depth look at the legislature, its history, structure

An Intern for the Regional SIP Coordinator would help the SIP Coordinator with multiple tasks while
learning about the Bureau of Community Corrections (Dept. of Corrections).
The State Intermediate Punishment (SIP) is a program that uses a 2 year flat sentence to try to treat criminals with drug and alcohol
issues. The offenders are in a State Correctional Institution for a minimum of seven months. They are then sent to an inpatient drug
and alcohol program for a minimum of two months. After inpatient drug and alcohol the offenders are sent to a halfway house to
complete outpatient drug and alcohol along with other aspects of reintegration.
