PROGRAM OVERVIEW
2014 marks the 44th year of the Bank Secrecy Act and second decade of the USA PATRIOT Act. Recent record fines and penalties
hint at what’s to come. After overhauling the BSA regulations and migrating to mandatory electronic filing, FinCEN continues
to turn up the heat and the banking agencies turn up the spotlight on exams. What this signifies is more change ahead, more
tightening of the supervisory and enforcement environment, and more elevated expectations for bankers. This live, full-day,
interactive seminar explores in detail critical thinking on today’s critical issues for critical times.
The focus of this program includes analysis on legal, regulatory and examination guidance, including that associated with
industry risks such as medical marijuana, electronic delivery and use of third parties. Attendees receive extensive course materials
with model forms, charts, checklists, sample tools and case-study exercises. It promises to meet and exceed the expectations for
mandatory training under the Bank Secrecy and USA PATRIOT Acts.
