Request for Proposals for Concessions Provider for Sunflower Soccer League
Scope
Sunflower Soccer Association, located at 4829 NW 17th Street, Topeka, Kansas, is accepting
proposals for concessions for the spring 2015 soccer league. Sunflower Soccer will complete
construction of a permanent concession facility in December, 2015. A layout of the facility is
enclosed with electrical set-up. Sunflower Soccer will provide equipment for the enclosed food
list, but any additional needs will be the vendor’s responsibility. Sunflower Soccer reserves the
right to approve or disprove menu choices.
League and tournaments run for eight weeks in the spring. The spring league begins in early
March. High school games may occur during the week. A facility schedule will be provided.
The provider will pay at least 15% of gross profits per weekend of sales to Sunflower Soccer
Association. See evaluation enclosure for more information.
At this time, SSA does not have a beverage contract. Beverage supplies will be the
responsibility of the vendor, but if SSA would enter a beverage contract the vendor will be
responsible for supplying that beverage.
Tournament profit payments will be kept separate from league payments. Payment will be
made monthly. Exclusivity does not exist for the tournament.
Additional beverage carts or small trailers will be allowed to be set on each side of the complex.
Electrical connections may or may not be available. Approval of locations of carts must be
given by Sunflower Soccer prior to set-up.
The main trash dumpster is located on the far west side of the soccer complex. All trash bags
will need to be placed in the main dumpster by the concession provider.
Concession provider is responsible for cleaning the facility after each use.
Vendor liability insurance of at least $1,000,000.00 is required. Sunflower Soccer Association
and the city of Topeka must be listed as an additional insured.
SSA requires all appropriate health department and other state vendor requirements are kept
current and shall be paid for by the vendor.
All Sale and income taxes incurred as a result of this contract are the responsibility of the
vendor.
Content of Proposal
Firm Identification: State in full the name and address of your organization and any local
branches or offices that will be used for this project.
Experience: State your firm’s experience in this type of venue. Please provide two references.
Miscellaneous: Provide any additional information not included elsewhere in the proposal.
Please send a list of your firm’s qualifications to be concessions vendor to Sunflower Soccer
Association by January 8, 2015.

Evaluation Requirements
Points will be awarded for ability to fulfill proposal requirements. The Review Committee shall
have final say on determining points awarded.
