Teachers from Electrical departments of Polytechnics
from all over Maharashtra are eligible to register for
this programme.
Registration:
Participants from Polytechnics : Rs.500/Participants have to pay course fee by DD payable
to “Principal V.P.M's Polytechnic, Thane” along
with complete registration form filled in prescribed
format.
 Registration fee includes course material,
working lunch and tea.
 Accommodation on demand can be provided for
outstation participants on payment of separate
charges for the same. Outstation Participants
may contact the coordinator regarding these
details.
 TA will be paid for outstation participants
from Polytechnics as per the MSBTE norms.

About the Institute:
V.P.M.’s Polytechnic, Thane was established in the
year 1983 by Vidya Prasarak Mandal (VPM), Thane
a Public Education Trust and well recognized by
AICTE, New Delhi.
The institute has made a phenomenal growth in past
two and a half decades. The institute offers seven
diploma courses. The polytechnic has contributed to
the development of curriculum and learning
resources under the Maharashtra State Board of
Technical Education- Institute Partnership Project.
As a part of dissemination of knowledge and
manpower training, the institute has played a key role
in organizing seminars, workshops, short term
courses, national conferences.
Achievement of academic excellence, sharing of
scientific and technological knowledge, imparting
technical skills to the student community and
induction of social awareness among youth constitute
the objectives of the institute.
The polytechnic has successfully trained students to
become good engineers & entrepreneurs.
We are proud to record that ours is the first selffinancing polytechnic in the Mumbai sub region to
receive Accreditation by NBA, New Delhi.
About The Electrical Power System Department:
Department works with the mission of empowering
the students with the best knowledge in Electrical
Power Systems. It has been accredited by National
Board of Accreditation & received Excellent
Remark in Academic Monitoring.
Department conducts various student oriented
programmes like technical seminars, competitions,
industrial visits etc. which exposes students with all
round development in that area. The department has
dynamic faculty having good interaction with the
students.
Department has established district level energy park
with the sponsorship from MEDA. Department has
also received a grant of Rs.5 lacs from AICTE under
MODROB project.

V.P.M's Polytechnic, is situated in the Thane College
Campus and is within 10 minutes walking distance
from the Thane Railway Station.
About the Training Program:
Electrical Power system is growing at a fast rate and
it is the need for an Electrical & Electronics Engineer
to keep pace with the modern practices and latest
trends in Power sector. It is necessary to update the
knowledge so that a teacher can impart it to the
