“W ell done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a little, I will
set you over much… ”- M atthew 25:21
God expects u s to nu rtu re and d evelop the gifts H e has given u s and then
generou sly give back w ith increase. H e d oesn’t want u s to w aste or hoard
the gifts H e has given u s; H e exp ects u s to grow our gifts, u se them wisely
and be generou s with them .
Thank you for reading the information about the offertory program that came in the
mail this week. We believe that this process will be a good tool for each family to
discern the appropriate level of sacrificial giving to the parish and will help the parish plan the best ways to use our resources. If you have any questions at all (or did
not receive the mailing), please don’t hesitate to call me. I can’t thank you enough for
your continued generosity. It can be easy to take for granted the sacrifices each family is making to support the parish. However, your gift truly is appreciated and we
will continue to strive to do our best to make good use of our resources! - Father Dave

PASTORAL MINISTRY – Deacon Tom Hale
Reflection - "Joy is one of the best safeguards against temptation. The devil is a carrier of dust and dirt and he uses every
opportunity to throw what he has at us. But a joyful heart protects us from this dirt. That is because Jesus is there in our joy.
Jesus takes full possession of our soul when we surrender to
him joyfully. St. Francis de Sales said, ‘A sad saint is a bad
saint’. St. Teresa of Avila worried about her sisters only when
she saw them lose their joy. Joy is a source of power for us."
— Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta
Something else to ponder - A four-year-old child, whose next
door neighbor was an elderly gentleman, who had recently lost
his wife. Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the
old Gentleman's' yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there.
When his mother asked him what he had said to the neighbor,
the little boy just said, 'Nothing, I just Helped him cry.'
Teacher Debbie Moon's first graders were discussing a picture
of a family. One little boy in the picture had a different hair
color than the other members. One of her students suggested
that he was adopted. A little girl said, 'I know all about Adoption, I was adopted.'
'What does it mean to be adopted?' asked another child.
'It means', said the girl, 'that you grew in your mommy's heart
instead of her tummy!'
FAITH FORMATION - Brittany Schoeder

because children are taught not only the fundamentals of education, but also about the importance of their faith. Teachers
enhance the foundation of building good Catholic membership
in the church through weekly participation at Mass, daily religion classes, and opportunities of service throughout the year.

Smaller class sizes allow teachers to provide more individualized instruction.
Reading proficiency is a high priority in the elementary
grades at Sacred Heart School. Our elementary program
allows students to shift from “learning to read” to “reading to learn” in all areas of the curriculum.
Parents are respected as the first educators of children.
Our teachers strive to continue a child’s education as part
of a cooperative team with the parents.
Sacred Heart School has a feeling of home and family
where children feel safe to learn and grow.
LITURGY - Mary Williams / Angela Miller
Next weekend is the feast of Christ the King and the last Sunday of this liturgical year. The following weekend will be the
First Sunday of Advent, and with it, the lighting of our annual
Advent wreath. We are looking for families for each weekend
Mass throughout Advent to light the candles on the Advent
wreath. If you or your family would like to light the candle(s)
at one of the Masses (Nov. 30 through December 21), please
call Angela at the Parish office.
