Visions and Dreams
Visions and dreams of sages old,
Continues today as God enfolds
His will for today.
Pray and listen, let Jesus speak to our
hearts,
He will answer today, tomorrow, in
years to come,
Trust and obey, follow His lead,
And if they are part of His plan, will
become reality,
As we live our lives in Him.
Janet Stenouse
SHARE AND PRAYER
Someone will be available at the front left side of the worship area after the service to pray with you
about a concern for yourself of someone known to you.
LAST MINUTE NOTICES
The Stewards are concerned about the increasing number of last minute notices handed to them to be
read out at the start of services. Notices will not be read out at the start of services in future, except for
those weeks when written notices have not been provided. Instead a free-standing noticeboard will be
provided for last minute notices, which will be put away after evening service. Your co-operation in this
will be appreciated. The Stewards
WOMAN 2 WOMAN
The next meeting of our ladies group, Woman 2 Woman, will be held on Friday 21 st November, 7pm
onwards at Heaton Park Methodist Church, Prestwich and our speaker will be Sister Brenda Dorrian.
Light refreshments, tea and coffee, will be available and a small donation of food would be lovely if
possible (but by no means compulsory). Ladies from all our Circuit churches, outside our Circuit and
all their friends will be most welcome. Please come and join us for an evening of fun, fellowship and
praising the Lord. Looking forward to seeing you all.
CIRCUIT PRAISE FUTURE: 6pm on 14th December at Heaton Park.
This December, after 15 years' service, Circuit Praise will be taking a well-deserved break. Whether it
returns in some form or other isn't yet known; the aim is to take time out to see if there are new things
God is wanting us to do, either as individuals or together. If you have any thoughts in this area, you
are most welcome to email us via the circuit [email protected] or speak to anyone
involved. Thank you to all those who have supported Circuit Praise over the years and helped to
make it such a special time of worship and fellowship.
MEN’S BREAKFAST
The next meeting will be on Saturday 29th November 2014 at 9.00 am. The speaker will be
Mr. James Frith, the Labour parliamentary candidate for Bury North constituency. Gordon Ferguson
IVAN FILKINS
We are sorry to announce the death of Ivan Filkins, a long standing member of our church. Ivan's
funeral will be at church on Friday November 21st at 12.15pm. Please keep his family in your prayers.
PRAYER BREAKFAST: Sunday 23rd November, 9.30am to 10.30am
Join us in the lounge for a tasty breakfast followed by a time of prayer together. You won't be 'put on
the spot' to pray or expected to keep still and quiet for 30 minutes - we'll use a variety of ways of
prayer that are 'user-friendly' and enjoyable. If you don't want the breakfast, come at 10am to join in
the praying! Rev K Selby
CHURCH WEBSITE
I have taken over the running of the church website from Ted. I am able to correct some of the more
obvious areas where things have fallen out of date. However, I should be grateful if as many groups
as possible could check their part of the website and let me know of anything that needs changing.
Please note that I am only able to change the detail and not the structure of the website at present.

PAKISTAN - Pregnant woman and husband killed
A Christian couple have been killed after they were accused of desecrating the Quran. Shahzad Masih
(26) and his wife Shama (24) were beaten by an angry mob and then thrown into the kiln where they
worked as bonded labourers. "I think they were unconscious, but still breathing, but the mob was still
not willing to leave them alone," said Yasmeen, Shama's sister. "They took some petrol from a tractor
and doused their bodies and threw them in the kiln." Shama was five months pregnant, and leaves
behind four children, now orphans. 43 suspects have been arrested in connection with the attack.
Please Pray:
 For comfort for Shahzad and Shama's family
 For strength and courage for the church in Pakistan
 For the leaders of Pakistan to act to protect Christians and other minorities
PRINTED NOTICES
It’s been agreed to leave out some of the lists from the printed notices as most of the information is
already in Rostrum or What’s On. However, if you have any changes/ notices relating to your regular
groups, please do let me know and something can be put in the notices to let everyone know.

HELP NEEDED IN AFTER JC
After JC are struggling for leaders to help out regularly at their sessions on Tuesday nights from 89.30pm. If you could spare an hour and a half per week during term time to help lead a great group of
young people please speak to Jenny (07903622000). We are especially looking for people interested
in sports as we have had some new young people join who would really like to do some sports in the
sports hall! As a church I know we are really proud of the work that we do with young people from our
local community- please, if you can, come forward to help that work continue. Jenny Brooks

Always There
Many are the days
When we fail to call upon You
Forgetting Your faithful promise
That You are always there;
Ever near, ever loving,
Knowing our earthly cares.
