Sensational French Toast Casserole
1 Loaf of Cinnamon Chip Bread (Cubed)
8 Eggs
3 cups Milk
4 Tablespoons brown sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
3/4 teaspoon salt (optional)
Topping:
3 Tablespoons butter (cubed)
3 Tablespoons brown sugar
1 Tablespoon cinnamon
Grease a 13x9x2 inch baking dish. Place cubed
bread in dish.In a large mixing
bowl, beat eggs, milk, brown sugar, vanilla, 2
teaspoon cinnamon, and salt. Pour over bread
until bread is wet. Cover overnight.
Remove from the refrigerator 30 min. before
baking.
Dot with butter. Add topping. Bake at 350 for
45-50 min. or until a knife inserted near the
middle comes out clean. Serve with maple
syrup.
This is a great do-ahead dish! We bake it
while we are opening presents Christmas
morning!
