COURSE ABSTRACT
Financial accounting course objective is to provide a better understanding of financial information as
presented in the financial statements as well as introduction to financial ratio analysis.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
The financial accounting course makes the focus on the users´ perspective and the objective is to
enable the students:
• To understand the contents, measurement and interaction between income statement, balance
sheet and cash flow statement as well as techniques of preparation of financial statements, auditing
and taxation
• To analyse the financial statements
• To evaluate the performance of a company in terms of profitability, financial position and liquidity
