On Friday, November 28th,
Chief Andy Bohlen and Sergeant Eric Sammon presented a written commendation to
North Ambulance EMT Julie
Weir. On September 16th,
EMT Weir responded to an
assisted living facility for a medical call of a choking person.
EMT Weir saw that the victim
was not breathing and blue in
the face. EMT Weir performed
abdominal thrusts and relieved
the food obstruction from the
person’s throat and she recovered. The patient was determined to be Sgt. Sammon’s
mother. Because of her efforts,
the department took the opportunity to recognize the work
that Julie does.

Child Pornography Arrest
On Tuesday, November 18th, a
federal warrant was issued for
Nathan Dorweiler, 39. The
warrant was issued following a
federal indictment charging
Dorweiler with four counts of
Distribution of Child Pornography and one count of Possession of Child Pornography. The
case was initiated by information received from the Internet Crimes Against Children
Task Force, which indicated
Dorweiler had been downloading child pornography. Earlier
this year, a search warrant was
executed by Sergeants Bran-
don Gliem and Dave Dillon,
RCSO Sergeant Mark Hlady
and Investigator Blaine
Smith. The resulting investigation was forwarded to the task
force, which presented the case
to the FBI and the US Attorney’s Office. Dorweiler was
arrested on Thursday, November 20th by Detective Matt
Kolling and Officers Justin
Hunt, Dustin Delmonico and
Ben Johns without incident. He
will be transferred to federal
custody pending his first court
appearance.
