A Spiritual Nexus Inspiring People to Live Their Divinity ...
A Spiritual Nexus Inspiring People to Live Their Divinity • November 23, 2014
Today is a Celebration Sunday! Celebrating the wonderful year we’ve had, the
unfolding success of this year’s Pledge Program, the magical accomplishment of
creating our new roof and rejoicing in the Good we have waiting for us in the
upcoming year! The pulse of Gratitude has been filling the conversations and halls
of Seaside all week. Your outpouring of love, positive conversation and prayers
accentuated by your written pledges has brought in the first two thirds of our
financial intention which puts us right on a successful track for reaching our goal. We will reach
and surpass our target with 100% participation. Every pledged gift matters and if you haven’t
had the chance yet to let Seaside know to count you in for next year, fill out your Card of Intent
and place it in the offering basket today. All of Seaside thanks you and celebrates you today!
Plan to stick around for our Harvest Festival today, have some chili and enjoy the many
different booths and games. Have your heart jump with joy as you watch our children slide
down the giant slide and maybe you’ll hear your inner child coaxing you into a ride down. Dance
to the music, meet some new friends and just laugh with your Spiritual Family. It’s a day of fun –
are you ready to have some?
Dr. Christian’s Message: Grateful for Abundance, Goodbye Trance
Affirmation: “I gratefully celebrate my Abundance!”
Congregational Song: I Trust In God
Platform Assistant–Welcome: Rev. Christina Tillotson, D.D.
Please hand in your
“Card of Intent”
Thank you to those who have
submitted their pledge cards.
There is still time if you have
not. We are getting closer to
our goal!
Join us for our 3rd Annual “Gifts of the
Heart” Harvest Festival. The Seaside
Ministries all come together for a fun
afternoon of food, fun and fellowship. Once
again we will be having our annual Chili Cookoff, so get ready to enjoy some of the world’s
best home made chili!
There will be booths and games galore,
music by our own Cole Miller and his Reggae
band, a giant slide and arts and crafts for
grown-ups and kids. We will be showcasing
our Seaside Artists and you will have an
opportunity to do some holiday shopping. All
in all, it is a fun afternoon to spend with your
Spiritual Family. We look forward to sharing
the afternoon with you!

Join us on Wednesdays
at 7 p.m. as we come
together to advance
Oneness, Love, and Joy
through inspirational
music, uplifting talks,
deepening meditations,
and lively dialogue. We
intend to reveal
Wholeness in all areas of our life.
The theme for 2014 is “We’re Getting Booked Up!”
and Rev. Sunshine’s message for November 26 is
“Thanksgiving Stomach Ache Prevention.”
You, your family, friends and the community
are invited to Seaside on Thanksgiving Day for
a unique gratitude service with Rev. Christina
Tillotson, D.D. with music by Kerry Powell and
friends at Noon and our annual community
potluck Thanksgiving Dinner at 1pm.
Seaside is the only place in this part of North
County that has a dinner for the whole
community on Thanksgiving. Couples,
families, singles, seniors, young people
and the housing challenged have been
coming to Seaside to bask in the warmth, love
and gratitude of Seaside on this special day
for over 12 years. Please bring a dish to share
with a little extra so that those who cannot
may also enjoy a Thanksgiving Day feast. With
cutbacks in food programs this year, this will
be an extra special way to serve our
community.
Volunteers are needed for decorating,
carving, serving, and cleaning up, so please
sign up in the Family Room or contact Melissa
Spiegler, (951) 553-9843; rmspiegler@gmail.
com. You can sign up in the Family Room to
indicate what food you will bring. Please pick
up a “Share Thanksgiving Day” flyer to share
with people and organizations in the
community.
The Holiday Ministry is in charge of the
Thanksgiving and Christmas Day services and
potlucks and the New Year's Eve Burning
Bowl ceremony. To be part of the Holiday
Ministry, or for more information, please
contact Rev. Christina Tillotson, D.D. at (760)

Today’s Invocation & Meditation Practitioner
Kay Samuelson grew up
in Newport Beach, CA,
practicing Eastern/
Western spirituality
through the Self
Realization Fellowship.
Metaphysics was an
accepted and discussed
subject in the home. Kay
was 17 years old when the entire family of
seven kids moved to Puerto Vallarta,
Mexico. This exposure of living amongst
different cultures sparked a thirst for
adventure and travel in Kay's life. The
next 10 years were spent traveling the
world and working in the import/export
business. Kay is now a professional
Massage Therapist. She has raised two
beautiful girls and has two grandchildren.
Accepting the guidance of Spirit, Kay
began classes at Seaside and in 2004
became a Religious Science Practitioner.
Anchoring a consciousness of Spiritual
leadership, Kay is now a Master
Practitioner, a team leader in the
Bookstore, and she facilitates an on-going
Sacred Circle. She has just finished two
years on the Practitioner Core Council
and is looking forward to another summer
working with the "Deep Sound
Meditation."
Through the art of Spiritual Mind
Treatment and spiritual solutions, Kay
offers sanctuary for the soul that is
seeking reassurance of his or her
wholeness. The profound power of being
deeply seen and understood creates a
portal of possibility for deep healing and
transformation of the body, mind and soul.
She believes the heart responds to the
warmth of love, recognizing that love is
the fulfillment of the law of Good (God) in
everyone. The most precious
understanding Kay holds in her heart is
that we are all One, One heart, One mind,
One soul. The unity of all life flows
through a field of consciousness.

To Volunteer, Sign Up at the Interfaith
Shelter Table in the Family Room
Every year during the winter months,
Seaside participates in the Interfaith Shelter
with local churches and synagogues to help
support and house individuals and families
who have recently lost their housing.
The Seaside Interfaith Shelter is scheduled
for December 14-21 at St. Anne's Episcopal
Church in Oceanside again this year. Please be
thinking of how you would like to participate,
i.e. donate necessary shelter items/food, cook
a dinner meal or part of one, or stay overnight
as a host.
If you already know how you would like to
volunteer because you have done so in the
past, please email Sunny Goodwin at
[email protected] and she
will enter your name and how and when you
would like to help in this rewarding and
important project. You can also call Sunny at
(760) 212-6478 daily until 3 p.m.
Jan Hartman, RScP, Seaside
Practitioner and Bereavement Specialist,
will offer heart space for anyone desiring
meditation, prayer and support connected
to the loss of loved ones from our human
realm during this holiday time.
Join her for any of the remaining 5-6pm
Wednesdays in the Emerson Room:
December 3 and December 17. There is
no fee to attend.
Do you have a special occasion
to celebrate or someone to
honor? Flowers are a perfect way
to accomplish that and beautify
our Sanctuary on Sunday. The
next several months are available.
Sign up now on the ‘Flower Calendar’
located in the Family Room next to the
kitchen door. The cost is $50. Contact
Joanne Millison, RScP at (760) 7535786*811, [email protected].
A Fabulous Parade Is In Your
Future!
Youth and Family Ministry
invites you to be part of the
fun and frolic of being in a
parade. Encinitas Holiday
Parade will be held
Saturday, December 6 at
5pm and Seaside has a fabulous float.
Melissa Spiegler, Parade Chair, (951) 553
-9843 asks that we meet at our float. Join
in the fun as we walk the parade route
between D and J Streets on the 101. All
youth are asked to bring their bikes on
Sunday, November 30 so we can
decorate them and ride them in the
parade!! Plan to have a great time with
your Seaside Community!
Your TASTY pies are ready for you to pick
up! If you ordered your pie in advance,
just stop by the Youth and Family table
today at the Harvest Festival and take
them home and enjoy them! These pies
were made from the heart as only your
Seaside teens and their moms can. Thank
you for your support. All proceeds will go
to sending our Teens to their Winter
Camp. It’s a profound experience and a
joy for our teens to attend.

Words of Wisdom
“The possibilities are numerous once we
decide to act and not react.”
-George Bernard Shaw
“There is nothing in a caterpillar that tells
you it’s going to be a butterfly.”
-Buckminster Fuller
The Bookstore is open Sundays
from 10:15am to 1:15pm and after
the Wednesday evening service and
for special events and evenings at
the beginning of classes.
Seaside once again has pledged its
continued commitment to support our
community, specifically Community
Resource Center (CRC). Seaside is
requesting your assistance for this year’s
Holiday Basket Program, Dec. 19-21.
Please donate any gently used clean or
new blankets or money for the Holiday
Baskets.
You can help CRC reach its goal this
holiday season to support 1,500 families.
Please take your donations to the CRC
container in the Family Room designated
for the blankets. Contact Rich Sylvester at

com. Thank you for your generosity!
Rev. Dr. John Waterhouse, CSL
President, invites us to commit to saying
aloud the following paragraph every day for
28 days. He believes that something
wonderful will happen. And when it does,
he suggests that we acknowledge the
divine flow in our life by financially
supporting our local Center for Spiritual
Living, ie. Seaside Center.
“I (your name), know that God is the
source of all supply and that money is
God in action. I know that my Good is
here now. I am so rich and so full that I
have an abundance of money to spare
and share today and always. I know that
true prosperity includes perfect health,
perfect wealth, and perfect happiness.
These words, which I speak in faith, now
activate universal law, and I accept the
results. I bless all that I have now, and I
bless the increase. And I know that I now
prosper in every way. I give thanks for
this Good, and so it is!”
