Mighty Mites
Today we learn that if we help others God
will invite us to be a part of his community.
Bring your child, ages 3 through
Kindergarten, to the Children’s Chapel
during the 9:45 Mass where our Mighty
Mites can share how they help others.
Precautions taken for flu season
Beginning next weekend through March, Holy
Communion will be distributed under the species
of the Blessed Bread only. The chalice will be
shared by the priest and the deacon.
The Office will be
closed
Thursday & Friday,
November 27-28
for Thanksgiving.
OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST, KING OF THE UNIVERSE
NOVEMBER 23, 2014
“Whatever you did for one of the
least brothers of mine, you did for
me.”
Matthew 25:46
This weekend’s readings trace our Lord Jesus Christ
from “the shepherd who tends his flock” to the
“first fruits” to the “king who comes in his glory.” He
invites all of us who are stewards of his Word, his
Kingdom and his Hope, to see him and to serve him in
everyone we meet, even his “least brothers.” Such
true and faithful stewards we will hear His glorious
declaration, “Come, you who are blessed by my Father.”
Ministry Fair Update
The Collection for the Catholic Campaign for Human
Development (CCHD) provides funding for groups that
make lasting change and uplift the poor in the United
States. CCHD grants improve education, support
economic development, and help communities provide
housing in low-income neighborhoods. Help us continue
to defend human dignity and aid those living on the
margins of society. Please give to the CCHD Collection.
Help is needed on Friday morning,
November 28. We will be changing the
hymnals in the Church at 10:00 AM. If
you can spare a little time, your help
would be greatly appreciated.
Saint Ann Christmas Spectacular
Saturday, December 6 ~ 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Parish Center
We are still receiving Ministry Sign Up Sheets. If you
were away during our Ministry Fair or just haven't yet
decided which ministry or ministries you would like to
work on, please take a moment to fill out a form and let
us know what you might like to do. Forms can be found
at the church entrances, in the church office or on our
website and can be placed in the Offertory basket. If you
are not sure and have a question about any ministry
please contact Valerie Yergeau ([email protected]
or 203-878-0539) or Nancy Vai ([email protected] or
203-874-6850.
Ministry Chairs, please look over your 2015 list and
contact anyone who signed up in 2014 but is not on your
2015 list to remind them to fill out a form.
As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one
another as good stewards of God's varied grace.

Defending Our Religious Liberty
In this Thanksgiving season, let us give thanks for our
God-given rights and stand strong in our opposition of
the encroachments being made on our religious freedom.
If you haven’t done so already, please voice your
opposition to the mandate by calling President Obama at
the White House at 202-456-1111 or U.S. Secretary of
Health and Human Services Sylvia Mathews Burwell at
202-205-5445. Let them know that the mandate is in
violation of our First Amendment right to religious
freedom.
Browse, shop, dine and enjoy the festive
atmosphere at the Saint Christmas
Spectacular on Saturday, December 6th.
Ooh and aah over the array of raffle
prizes in the Tiny Tim auction, then take your
chances and keep your fingers crossed! Look for hidden
treasures at the tag sale, stop for lunch from the
Spectacular Kitchen and pick up a snack or a take-home
dessert at Ye Olde Bake Shoppe. Along the way you’ll
have the pleasure of hearing the choir’s Victorian
carolers, adding just the right note to this holiday
extravaganza.
Have questions? Like to make a donation (for the Tiny
Tim auction and/or the tag sale)? Reach out to MaryJo
([email protected] or 203-882-0695). She’ll
be delighted to hear from you. (Restaurant and merchant
gift cards and Christmas-themed items greatly
appreciated.) Thank you for supporting this major parish
fundraiser.

2014 Thanksgiving Prayer from Archbishop Leonard Blair
O God, ever good and merciful,
look graciously upon us as we celebrate Thanksgiving Day.
Our nation has been richly blessed,
and we thank You for the necessities of life
that so many of us enjoy in abundance.
May we never take these gifts for granted
or forget that they come from You, the Creator and Author of Life.
We pray for those among us who suffer
as a result of material, spiritual or moral poverty.
Enkindle in us a greater charity toward our neighbor in need,
and help us as a people to build
a more just and peaceful society and world.
We pray in a special way for those who are persecuted
for their faith throughout the globe.
Thank you, Father, for all Your blessings,
In the Name of Christ Our Lord.
Amen.
