 Vacancy Climate-­‐KIC’s centre The Netherlands -­‐ Entrepreneurship NL Communications Coordinator (0,4fte) Climate-­‐KIC is looking to appoint a Communications Coordinator to steer, implement and coordinate Dutch communications activities for Climate-­‐KIC Entrepreneurship. Manages campaigns and promotions as well as safeguards a steady flow of communications towards the different target groups in The Netherlands, thus contributing to building lasting relationships for a cohesive cleantech community. Working closely together with the Communications Officer Entrepreneurship for Europe, as well as with the Director Entrepreneurship The Netherlands, this function is responsible for the establishment and implementation of a structured communications plan that is aligned with activities in other Climate-­‐KIC pillars in the Netherlands. This is a position for an average of 2 days (or 16 hours divided over days) a week, with the flexibility to scale up when needed. To get up to speed quickly, we are hoping for an increased availability of 3 -­‐ 4 days in the first 6 weeks. Interested? JOB PURPOSE Climate-­‐KIC is looking to appoint a Communications Coordinator to implement & guide Entrepreneurship communications activities in The Netherlands. He or she will be responsible for building constructive relationships with different stakeholders through targeted structural communications. Also, this role will be responsible for the effective implementation of brand, awareness & recruitment campaigns and events. All activities are geared at the key target groups for Entrepreneurship: master students, small and medium enterprises and corporates active in the cleantech domain, thus contributing to building lasting relationships for a cohesive cleantech community. He or she builds on and further improves the existing marketing communications tools, providing support in the areas of PR, social, online, print, and event management – and steering 3rd party suppliers where necessary. Key projects for 2015 are running recruit campaigns for Climate-­‐KIC Accelerator (3 in total), rolling-­‐
out of the upcoming rebranding for all Entrepreneurship activities as well as ensuring an impactful presence at various cleantech events in The Netherlands. THE PERSON We are therefore looking for an experienced enthusiastic communications specialist with a hands-­‐
on mentality and an entrepreneurial spirit. He or she should possess excellent campaign coordination skills, strong planning capabilities as well as the flexibility to act fast on opportunities arising. Preferably this role is able to write strong copy with a commercial ‘quirky’ as well as a more formal tone of voice, both in Dutch and in English. He or she is a clever networker with an inquisitive mind and proactive attitude. Knowledge/ experience • Masters in an communications/business /climate related field and/or minimum of 2 years of experience at an equivalent level • Proven skills in project management and ‘multi-­‐tasking’ capabilities • Advanced ability to write in English, informational and promotional • Communications specialist, able to orchestrate effective 360 degree campaigns, including social media • Knowledge of the impact and effective use of new communications techniques and media • Ability to coordinate and motivate colleagues Competencies • Independent, proactive & self-­‐motivated • Project Management • Planning & organizing • Flexibility
