Monash University accepts Gao Kao for direct entry
Gao Kao students who meet the higher Tier One university cut
off score for their province will meet the academic requirements
for entry to all Monash University degrees (except law and Dean’s
Scholars degrees). These students will also need to meet the
prerequisites or other entry requirements for these degrees.
Students who meet the lower Tier One university cut off score
for their province will meet the academic requirements for entry
to a selected range of Monash University degrees (see table 2).
Students who meet the higher Tier Two university cut off score
for their province will meet the academic requirements for entry
to a selected range of Monash University degrees (see table 3).
Students will still be required to meet the English language
requirements for their preferred degree and may need to
consider Monash English language courses offered through
Monash College.
Students who achieve scores lower than the Tier One cut
off scores may meet the academic requirements for entry
into Monash College Diploma Part 2 and Monash University
Foundation Year.
For those students without Gao Kao, Monash College
continues to accept students into Diploma or Monash University
Foundation Year courses with Gao Er or Gao San results.
Importantly, Monash College also helps students build the
study skills needed to succeed at a Top 100 internationally
ranked university.

undergraduate degrees.
