It is compulsory for all participants to attend closing ceremony. Those
who failed to attend ceremony will not be given certificate.
*Number of round may change depending upon the number of participants. However such
changes will be informed by chief arbiter before the commencement of first round.

All under -7 and Under-9 players will be given special prizes.
One player will be given one prize only. If a player becomes eligible for more than
one prize he/she will be given prize for the higher position only. No prize money will
be shared. To claim age category prizes players must produce
original birth certificate.
Eligibility: The Tournament is open to all players on first come first
serve basis. Organizer reserves the right to reject any entry without
assigning any reasons thereof.
Entry Fee:
Rs 2000/Entry Fee should be paid by cash or by Direct Deposit/demand draft
payable at Guwahati favoring Assam Chess Club.

Last Date of Entry- 16th December, 2014, however, entry will be
accepted till 3pm 24th December with a late fine of Rs 200/. No entry
will be accepted after 24th December.
System of play: The Tournament will be conducted as per FIDE Laws of Chess
and FIDE Swiss System with 9 Round.
Time Control: 30 minutes plus 10 seconds increment from move 1.
Tie Break: In case of Tie, the tie will be broken as per FIDE regulation.
Walk over Time: zero tolerance shall apply.
Dispute: In case of any dispute decision of the Chief Arbiter will be final and
binding on all.
Accommodation: No accommodation will be provided by the organizer.
Food: complimentary Lunch will be provided only to participants. No outside food is
allowed in the hotel. Accompanying person must buy their own food.
Dress code: All participants must be dressed in Formal attire. Shorts, sandals and
sleeveless dress are prohibited.
General Conduct: Smoking, chewing of betel nuts, pan masala, tobacco is strictly
prohibited in and around the playing venue. Players must maintain proper decorum.
* Any change of the rule regarding timing, walk over or any other rule will be announced by Chief
Arbiter before commencement of 1st round.
