Call to Worship
A God worthy of our worship calls us to gather and hear the good news of the gospel, and he invites us to respond in love, honor, and
praise for Him.
If you are new to Wallace Presbyterian Church, we are delighted that you have chosen to worship with us this
morning, and we welcome you to the Lord’s house as His honored guests. Please join us following the worship service for an informal time of fellowship and refreshments. You will find more information about our
beliefs and ministries at the Information Table in the Narthex. You may also fill out a Welcome Card at that
table so that we have a record of your visit. May God bless you and your worship among us today.

Commemoration— Micah 5:2-5a
Nursery and Class: During the worship service we provide a caring nursery for babies and toddlers, as well as a class
for two and three year olds. Children ages 4 through grade 3 are dismissed prior to the sermon for a time of
worship designed for them. Sermon guides are available in the Narthex for children who are staying in the service.
All access to childcare rooms is in the Blue wing.
A Quiet Room with audio and video feed of the worship hour is available on the second floor of the Blue
Wing for parents and children. A changing table is available there.
Sunday School and Adult Teaching Fellowships

Anticipation – Revelation 7:13-17
Jesus said to him, “Again it is written, ‘You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.’” 8 Again, the
devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9
And he said to him, “All these I will give you, if you will fall down and worship me.” 10 Then Jesus said to
him, “Be gone, Satan! For it is written,
“‘You shall worship the Lord your God
and him only shall you serve.’”

Then the devil left him, and behold, angels came and were ministering to him.

Now when he heard that John had been arrested, he withdrew into Galilee. 13 And leaving Nazareth
he went and lived in Capernaum by the sea, in the territory of Zebulun and Naphtali, 14 so that what was
spoken by the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled:
Then one of the elders addressed me, saying, “Who are these, clothed in white robes, and from where
have they come?” 14 I said to him, “Sir, you know.” And he said to me, “These are the ones coming out
of the great tribulation. They have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

“Therefore they are before the throne of God,
and serve him day and night in his temple;
and he who sits on the throne will shelter them with his presence.
16
They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore;
the sun shall not strike them,
nor any scorching heat.

For the Lamb in the midst of the throne will be their shepherd,
and he will guide them to springs of living water,
and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”

The Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper
God invites his people to come, taste and touch the gospel. The bread and the wine represent the body and blood of Jesus, who died on
the cross for sinners. At this table, God feeds his people to strengthen their faith, remind them of their hope, and spur them on to love
and good works.
We invite all who repent of their sins, trust in Christ alone for salvation and have been admitted to a
church that preaches the Gospel to join us at the Lord’s Table.
Please hold the elements (the bread and the cup) so we may partake together.
Silent Confession of Sin
Not one of us has lived up to God’s standards. This is not because God’s standards are wrong, but rather because we’re wrong. We’ve
been wrong in how we think, how we act, and what we say. We approach God to acknowledge before him all that is broken and sinful
in our lives.
Assurance of Pardon
Colossians 2:13-15
And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together
with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, 14 by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with
its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross. 15 He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put

on our behalf. (Mark 13:23-25; I Corinthians 10:16; 11:21-22; I Timothy 4:2-3). If, for reasons of
conscience or health, you do not wish to participate using wine, we encourage you to use the grape juice
which is provided for you in the grape colored cups in the center of the communion tray.

Just as God had the first word in our worship, he also gets the last word as he sends us out to our homes, work, family, and relationships
