Raffle Rules for the 2015 Kinsmen Home Lottery
Licensed to the Kinsmen Club of Medicine Hat (AGLC ID# 63232) and administered by the
Kinsmen Club of Medicine Hat (Incorporation number 50009188)
a. Raffle tickets may not be sold to persons under the age of 18. Ticket sellers will advise
potential buyers not to put the tickets in a person’s name that is under the age of 18.
b. When the winner of any ticket is under the age of 18, the prize shall be delivered to the
formally appointed guardian of the estate of the Public Trustee.
c.
In the event a winning ticket stub has more than one name on it, the Kinsmen Club of
Medicine Hat will award the prize to only one of the individuals identified on the ticket. The
Kinsmen Club of Medicine Hat and the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission are not
responsible for any disputes which may arise between the individuals whose names appear
on the ticket stub.
d. All tickets are sold for cash, cheque, Visa, MasterCard, AMEX and Interac and JCB Cards.
e. There are no restrictions as to the qualifications of the purchaser except for the Club
President, Home Lottery Chairman and their spouses are not allowed to participate in the
lottery.
f.
All winners have one full year from the date of the draw to claim their prize. If their prize is
unclaimed after one full year, the club will apply to the Alberta Gaming and Liquor
Commission to liquidate the prize and place the proceeds towards the project.
g. All ticket requests shall be sent to the Kinsmen Club of Medicine Hat or their representatives.
h. The chances of being selected depend on the number of tickets sold, to a maximum of 8,800
tickets.
i.
All winning tickets from Early Bird or Final Draw prizes will be returned to the draw barrel after
all draws for future and grand prize draws.
j.
There are no refunds. All sales are final unless the club has sold less than 6,000 tickets by
June 30, 2014. If this is the case, the club will apply for an extension for the final draw date
from the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission and will refund any tickets if the ticket
holder wishes to do so.
k.
All prizes must be accepted as awarded. There is no cash value or substitutions for any
prizes.

Prizes will be awarded in order and on the dates below which is also disclosed in the section
for the “Proposed promotional activities”:
i.
Early Bird Prize #1 – 1 draw of $10,000 cash.
Draw date is Wednesday January 7, 2015 at 2:00pm (ticket sales cut off Monday
December 24, 2014 at 11:59pm.
Draw location is Richardson’s Jewellery, 208 - 3292 Dunmore Road SE, Medicine Hat,
AB.
ii.
Final Draw Prize #2 – 1 diamond from Richardson’s Jewellery valued at $5,000.
Draw date is Wednesday July 29, 2015 at 4:00pm (ticket sales cut off Sunday July 19,
2015 at 6:00pm).
Draw location is 300 Somerside Cres SE Medicine Hat AB
iii.
Final Draw Prize #3 to #12 – 10 separate draws of a Sobeys gift card valued at $100
each for a total retail value of $1,000. No restrictions and no expiry dates on the gift
cards.
Draw date is Wednesday July 29, 2015 at 4:00pm (ticket sales cut off Sunday July 19,
2015 at 6:00pm).

iv.
Final Grand Prize #13 – The Grand Prize is a brand new house. The winner receives the
property at 300 Somerside Cres SE Medicine Hat AB valued at $500,000. The home will
be developed and landscaped as is; appliances included.
Draw date is Wednesday July 29, 2015 at 4:00pm (ticket sales cut off Sunday July 19,
2015 at 6:00pm).

m. Prizes that are too large to be mailed out will be delivered only in Medicine Hat, Alberta.
Delivery is to the winner’s door and does not include setup if applicable. If the winner resides
outside of Medicine Hat, all freight costs are the responsibility of the winner.
