THANK YOU - Maggie Fox and family would like to thank everyone who attended her mother’s funeral service on
Monday. We were so sorry that we were not able to thank you personally after the service and wanted you to know
how much it meant to us that we were joined by her former colleagues and pupils as well as by our friends at St
Aelred’s. Thank you, too, to the choir for making it such a special service.
Last week’s collection: Loose £224.95; Gift Aid £474.40; Planned £57.50. Total £756.85. Many thanks.

Shoebox Appeal – Thank you for your magnificent donations of so many lovely food parcels, and the very generous
gift of £294, it was certainly all very welcome to help in the task our friends in Romania have of trying to feed the
hungry for Christmas. We were able to pack the Christmas lorry on November 14th full of food, food parcels, medical
supplies and equipment and warm blankets and we have had grateful emails back from everyone, that everything
arrived safely, and they are all very happy with everything we sent, thanks to

people like you. The food parcels will be delivered to many destitute old people
who don’t get any pension, over the next weeks, and I don’t think you can imagine
how much they will be appreciated.
Please join us for tea and coffee after 10am Mass on Sunday.

The joy of the Gospel fills the hearts and lives of all who
encounter Jesus. Those who accept his offer of salvation are set
free from sin, sorrow, inner emptiness and loneliness. With
Christ joy is constantly born anew”…….Pope Francis
