Collection Schedule
You can place the
following items in
your Moreland
recycling bin:

COLLECTED WEEKLY on the same day as
your garbage. Items should be rinsed and
flattened, with lids removed from jars and
bottles, and placed loosely in your bin.
The bin lid must be fully closed.

inside your bin will be collected

Hard Waste
Your annual HARD WASTE collection will take place
from April to May 2015. You will receive a notice in the
mail two weeks before collection starts in your street.
Please place your waste items out neatly for collection
by the Sunday night before your collection week.

The types of items you will find recycling or reuse
solutions for include batteries, chemicals, clothing,
furniture, televisions, computers, light globes, mobile
phones, fridges, mattresses and other household items.
Home composting
In 2012 the average garbage bin in Moreland contained
48% food waste, so by composting at home you could
halve the waste you send to landfill each year.
Compost bins (Rotoplastic 220 litre) are available for
Moreland residents, businesses, organisations and
schools for $49.50 (incl.GST).
