Pastor’s Bulletin Blog 01 11 2015 Announcements (Announcements for next Sunday’s bulletin are due Thursday at 10:00 AM) WELCOME to First Baptist Church! We are so glad you have chosen to worship with us today. As our guest, we would like to have a record of your visit. Please fill out the visitor’s section of the Response Card found in the pew rack and place it in the offering plate during the worship service. I have sensed a genuine excitement in our church about emphasizing the Bible in 2015. If we allow God’s Word to direct our lives and the beliefs and practices of our church, I believe we will reap God’s blessings in lives changed and prayers answered. Today I am planning to share with you the blessings we experienced during 2014. As we look back, we will see that God moved among us in some mighty ways. We want to give God the glory for all He has done. Next week, we will look ahead, the Lord willing, and consider some specific goals for our church. While darkness seems to be increasing in our culture today, the future is bright for our church if we hold to God’s unchanging hand. Psalm 8:6 says, “You made him ruler over the works of your hands; you put everything under his feet.” It seems hard to believe that the God of the universe would partner with mankind in the world. We must humbly, yet decidedly, accept the role that God has given us. With this honor comes responsibility. Part of our God-given responsibility is to share from the “fruits of our labor.” As you give today, see it as an opportunity to be a part of God’s marvelous plan. Partnering together for a great year ahead, Bro.
