DISPOSAL OF VEHICLES, PLANT, EQUIPMENT, SPARE PARTS, FURNITURE AND
STATIONERY; LOT A: NAMTUMBO – KILIMASERA ROAD SECTION (60.7 KM)
Invitation to Bid
1.
The Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS) on behalf of the
Ministry of Works intends to dispose vehicles, plant, equipment, spare parts,
furniture and stationery that were used in the project for upgrading of
Namtumbo - Kilimasera Road Section in Ruvuma. The vehicles, plant and
equipment are disposed on “as is, where is” basis and the procuring entity shall
have no further liability after sale.

The Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS) now invites sealed bids
for the purchase of vehicles, plant, equipment, spare parts, furniture and stationery.

Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding
procedures specified in the Public Procurement Regulations, 2013 – G N No. 446
of 2013 and is open to all Bidders as defined in the Regulations.

Interested bidders may inspect the vehicles, plant, equipment, spare parts,
furniture and stationery at Mchomolo Village, Namtumbo District in Ruvuma
Region every Thursday and Friday from 08:00 hours to 16:30 hours. Public
holidays are excluded.
Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the
Bidding Documents at the office of The Secretary, TANROADS HQ Tender
Board, 4th Floor, Airtel House, Ali Hassan Mwinyi/Kawawa Road Junction, P.
O. Box 11364, Dar es Salaam;. Telephone: +255 222926001/6 from 08:00 hours
to 16:30 hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.

A complete set of Bidding Document(s) in English and additional set may be
purchased by interested Bidders on the submission of a written application to
the address given under paragraph 5 above and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of TShs. 50,000.00. Payment should either be by Cash, Banker’s
Draft, or Banker’s Cheque, payable to The Chief Executive, TANROADS, P.
O. Box 11364, Dar es Salaam.

All Bids must be accompanied by bid deposit in an acceptable form in the
amounting to 25% of bid amount in Tanzanian Shillings.

All Bids in one original plus three, properly filled in, and enclosed in plain
envelopes must be delivered to The Secretary, Tanzania National Roads
Agency (TANROADS HQ) Tender Board, 4th Floor, Airtel House, Ali Hassan
Mwinyi/Kawawa Road Junction, P. O. Box 11364, Dar es Salaam at or before
10:00 hours on 6th January 2015. Bids will be opened promptly thereafter in
public and in the presence of Bidders’ representatives who choose to attend in
the opening at the offices of the TANROADS HQ Conference Room, 4th
Floor, Airtel House, Ali Hassan Mwinyi/Kawawa Roads Junction, Dar es
Salaam.
The outer cover shall be clearly marked ‘‘TENDER NO. AE/001/201415/HQ/D/20 FOR DISPOSAL OF VEHICLES, PLANT, EQUIPMENT, SPARE
PARTS, FURNITURE AND STATIONERY; LOT A: NAMTUMBO –

10:00 HRS LOCAL TIME ON 6TH JANUARY 2015’’
9.
Late bids, portion of bids, electronic bids, bids not received, bids not opened
and not read out in public at the bid opening ceremony shall not be accepted
for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
