These temporary moves are part of the Trust’s Winter Resilience plans. The space vacated by these clinics at PAH will be used to accommodate Ambulatory Care. Arrangements have been made to ensure the Kitwood Centre at Herts and Essex Hospital has been suitably furnished with appropriate signage for its new temporary function as an Outpatients Department. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause your patients, particularly those who face a longer journey. We are writing to each of them advising of the new location and including an information sheet with details of how to access the clinics in Bishop’s Stortford by car or public transport. We will also be enclosing a leaflet with information about voluntary organisations providing subsidised or free transport for those requiring this. The telephone number for patients needing information about how to travel to the clinic or to change their appointment is: 01279 827391. We would be most grateful if you could help make this transition as smooth as possible by reminding patients who visit your surgery of the new location for some clinics.
