Breaking News!
Russian ballerina, Irina Vakhroomeva, will be coming to Deborah Case Dance Academy to talk with parents
and dancers regarding her European summer workshop. In addition, she will teach master class on Saturday, Jan.
10, for levels V+ from 11:00-12:30 pm, and for levels III-IV from 12:30-2:00 pm. Irina is a former ballerina
with the world famous Kirov Ballet of St. Petersburg, Russia. She is a long time friend and colleague of
Deborah.
Make your plans now for Summer Ballet Intensive with Alex Ossadnik, and Broadway Jazz with Yloy Ybarra,
June 15-26, 2015! Alex will focus on strong ballet technique, jumps and pirouettes. Yloy, direct from NYC, will
bring the best of Broadway jazz to the Dance Academy. Cost for the 2 weeks is $400.00. Dancers can sign-up
now at the front desk.
Costumes on sale now for Ballet Gala, 2015, our annual spring recital! Order yours now at 10th Street Dance
Wear. Everyone will need to wear a beige basic underneath their costume for privacy. Order yours today.
Deadline for recital costume sales is February 1st.
Solos and duets policy for Ballet Gala - dancers must be 13 years or older, have all music selected,
choreography fees paid and costume set by January 17. A minimum of 12 private sessions must be completed
before recital.
Spring recital photo session dates are:
March 7 & 8, from 2:00-5:00 pm.
March 21 & 22, from 2:00-6:00 pm. Portrait sitting fee is $35.00 per costume. Groups of 3 or more will
need to reserve 2 sessions for $70.00. Sign-up at the front desk for your appointment.

Parents, Please make sure we have your current class schedule and contact information for your child! Many
have changed cell numbers and/or moved in the last year.

Dance Academy Policy Reminders
Dancers are not to wear their shoes outside of the building.
Keep the dance floors clean by carrying the dance shoes in a bag.
No powder or lotion is allowed in the dance studios.
All dancers must wear their hair in a bun for all classes. Jewelry is not allowed.
No food, candy or drinks allowed in studios.
Parents are expected to pick up their child promptly after class.
Parents can be kept informed of class changes online at dcda.com.
Parents are not allowed inside studios. Classes can be view on monitors in the lobby.
Class dress code must be followed. Dress code is found on back of the printed class schedule.
Dancers are expected to arrive on time for class.
parents must keep the front desk informed of any phone, address or class changes.
Missed classes must be made up within 2 weeks and you are allowed 1 per month.
Reminder: Tuition is always due the 1st of every month.
We do not send out a monthly bill or a statement. A late fee of $25.00 is charged after the 10th of the month for
any unpaid tuition. Tuition can be mailed to 5240 N. 10th Street, McAllen, Tx. 78504 if necessary. Dancers are
considered enrolled unless the front desk has been notified otherwise. Students will be dropped after 2 months of
absences and re-enroll to return to class. There is an annual registration charge of $30.00. Holidays are
calculated into tuition plan.

Showtime 10:00 am. Dancers arrive at 9:30 am.
