Call to Halt of "Price Tag" Actions
In recent months there has been a dramatic increase in
acts of racist violence labeled "price tag" (Tag Mechir).
Every day the news reports about places of worship
desecrated, property damaged and trees uprooted. The
Tag-Meyer Forum has been established to convey the
Jewish voice of tolerance and mutual respect for our
neighbors and those living among us. This is a forum for
groups and organizations and the Masorti Movement is a
member. Tag Meir Forum is organizing a demonstration
this coming Sunday, May 11, 2014, at 18:00 in front of
the Prime Minister's residence in Jerusalem to urge the
legal authorities to deal with the insurgents and eradicate
the racism and violence of Tag Mechir. " ... For we were
strangers in the land of Egypt ...". The members of the
Conservative Movement are partners in the
demonstration. Meet at 17:45 at the entrance to Cafe de
Paris' (Sderot Ben Maimon 1) - which is adjacent to the
location of the demonstration – for the distribution of
posters and stickers.
