From the Budget and Finance &
Building and Grounds Committees
Rosewood First Baptist Church was
blessed with some tremendous
donations towards the bus fund in
December and the bus is now paid
off! In fact, we ended up with a
surplus of over $4000!
Our church has another pressing
need we need to consider, and that is
for a new roof for the sanctuary. At
the business meeting on Sunday
January 11, the church members
present approved a new account to
start funding for the new roof we will
need. This roof will cost probably
between $30,000 and $40,000. The
initial funding for this needed project
is being done with the surplus funds
from the bus. That gives us 10-15% of
what we will need. The balance that
we don’t raise will have to be financed
for a number of years, so the more we
can save in advance towards the new
roof will mean the less we will have to
borrow to pay for the roof.
We would like to ask that those of you
who have so generously helped pay
off the bus please keep this project in
mind and that anyone else so led,
make contributions towards our new
sanctuary roof.
Thank you,
Budget and Finance & Building and
Grounds Committees
