Enterprise Europe Network
Enterprise Europe Network is an initiative of the European
Commission, Directorate General "Enterprise and Industry", which
was launched in 2008
Operational management of network is provided by the Executive
Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation (EACI).
Enterprise Europe Network is co-financed by the Competitiveness
and innovation "(CIP) of the EU till 2014 and by COSME-2014-2.7
in the framework of Horizon2020 for 2015-2021.

Innovation in SMEs
1. Mainstreaming SME support:

all societal challenges & enabling and industrial
technologies (€ 6829 million)

How it works?
1. Company / organization declares an interest;
2. The applicant should communicate and a date for a visit;
3. Perform a thorough knowledge of the company during the
visit (company visit or technological analysis);
4. EEN consultant sent a short list of proposals for the
provision of services;
5. Elaboration of technological or business profile of the
company and its products;
6. The profile is introduced and published in the database of
EEN;
7. Obtained Profile Views by foreign users of the EEN
database;
8. Negotiations;
9. A contract is signed.

It is founded on 18.12. 2000 by the initiative group with leading scientists
from the Institute of Mechanics-BAS. The main founders are Bulgarian
Academy of Sciences, Technical University of Sofia.
GIS-TC is an independent structure for the transfer of research results
and technologies for the public benefit.
GIS-TC is part of the Technology Transfer Network of Foundation
"Steinbeis" - Stuttgart, Germany, consisting of 1000 transfer centers in
55 countries worldwide.

AIMS
• Transfer of scientific results oriented and technologies from the
research groups or universities to businesses, focusing on SMEs;
• Supporting and promoting research on the development of competitive
products;
• Collecting and disseminating information on innovative products and
results;
• Maintaining effective connection between research bodies, businesses
and public authorities and institutions.
• Commercialization of competitive research products and processes
through the establishment of independent structure of transfer centers;

BgTTN Established on 23rd of April, 2013 in Sofia by 22 TT Centers
Mission of BgTTN
Support the development of innovative enterprises and the
commercialization of research and high technologies in Bulgaria
BgTTN tasks:
• technology transfer between academia and companies as well as
within the industrial sector;
• partner search for cooperation in the development and
implementation of new high technology.

Network members - organizations that work to support innovation and
commercialization of research results and technology transfer
(Innovation and technology centers, technology transfer centers,
commercialization and implementation of IP, etc.).
Coordinating organization is GIS Transfer Center - member of the
Steinbeis TT Network - Germany and EEN, which exercises
operational control of the network, providing after coordination with the
EEN Coordinator for GIS TransferCenter access to EEN of the
technology requests and offers provided by the members of BgTTN.
