ONDULINE® is the world's largest manufacturer of
bituminous sheets. ONDUVILLA® roofing les are easy to
handle and so simple to use. The design guide sets
out the correct fixing method, illustrates how ONDUVILLA®
accessories can be used to provide simple solu ons to your
premium projects.
ONDUVILLA® MATERIAL COMPOSITION
ONDUVILLA® is a bituminous corrugated unique roofing le
developed to combine technical, economical and aesthe cal
advantages, both for new construc ons and roof renova ons.
It is manufactured from a mono-layer of organic fibers impregnated
with bitumen under pressure and heat. The colour pigmenta on
system stains the colour into the le. The resul ng le is flexible
and corrosion resistant.
Using the correct support to install ONDUVILLA® les is essen al.
First establish the roof pitch. We recommend you a pitch of
minimum 15%. You can then check if a decking is required, or
at what centres the purlins should be fixed. Finally, note the le
end and corruga on side lap.

Covering of roofs can be a hazardous opera on. All work should
be carried out with due regard to health and safety regula ons.
Maintenance
To ensure long life, the roof should be cleared of leaves and
debris, and gu ers regularly ans paint.

On curved roofs over buildings with high humidity levels, it is
essen al that high levels ven la on is incorpored and the dome
centre le is fully supported. (Details available from the technical
department).
ONDUVILLA® GUARANTEE
ONDUVILLA® les, if installed in direct compliance with the
manufacturer fixing instructions, are covered against water
ingress as a result of defec ve material, for a period of 15 years.
Defec ve workmanship, hail damage and colour reten on is not
covered in terms of the guarantee.

ONDUVILLA® ROOF DESIGN
ONDUVILLA® corruga ons provide a space of 85cm²/m-eaves
which helps to have be er ven la on between the heat insula on
and the roofing le. A ven lated roof is a security against the
damages of condensa on. ONDUVILLA® ven la on accessories
will prevent condensa on risk.
Insula on can also be easily incorporated to create a warm roof
construc on.

To get the best from ONDUVILLA® les, it is essen al to fix it
in accordance with these instruc ons.

General Rules
Tiles should be installed
in a direc on opposite
to the prevailing wind
ONDUVILLA® le can be cut by
hand cu er, hand saw or an
elec cal saw as needed.
Main surface
Maximum overhand of
ONDUVILLA® le is 5 cm, fix the
ONDUVILLA® le with a nail or a
screw next to the double profile
(on top of corruga on).
Fixing of ONDUVILLA® is always
on top of corruga on. Close caps
properly a er nail/screw fixed.
Ridge and Hip
Proceed with the applica on of each
row and the fix of all next ONDUVILLA®
les by overlapping them laterally
upon one corruga on. Overlap each
row upon the double-profile.
Installa on order must be
opposite the prevailing wind. It
is preferable to follow the fixing
order describe above.
Valley
At lengthwise overlaps, a nail should
be struck onto each corruga on
to fix two les together
At consecu ve rows, staggered applica ons is
necessary for this purpose, the laying of the second
row should be started using a half le.
*For metal frame
At widthwise overlaps,
one corruga on should be
overlapped and the nails
struck so that they would fix
the two les together.
The free overhang of le at the eaves
should not exceed maximum 5cm.
*Tiles should be fixed by nail
on top of the corruga on
