POSITION PURPOSE
The role will be performed in a way that adheres to the Deanmac values,
policies & procedures and organisational standards. Communication, quality
and services standards
The Concierge (reception and security) is the first point of call either via
person or through communications (including telephone and email enquiries)
and portrays the professional image of the organisation. The function
provides individuals with basic information, ensures processes are adhered to
aswell as providing administrative support.
KEY CRITERIA
!
Demonstrated expertise in security operations, with a minimum 3
years experience within the Concierge (reception and security area)
!
Ability to multi-task and be efficient and accurate in fulfilling tasks
!
Exceptional presentation and grooming standards
!
Certificate II in Security Operations
!
Excellent and articulate proficiency in written and verbal English
communication skills, with ability to communicate at all levels
!
A high level of written and verbal communication, negotiation and
problem solving skills.
!
Be in a good state of physical fitness
!
Competent computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite of Products
!
Ability to operate an Access Control System
!
Applicants must be eligible to work in Australia
!
Ability to operate independently in order to achieve goals and
deadlines

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Working independently, you will be responsible to attend the Reception area at all times
and undertake a variety of duties, which will include, but may not be limited to:
Administration
!
General reception duties and computer operation
!
Administer Privilege club scheme
!
Mail management
!
Contractor checks and issuing of relevant passes
!
Vehicle key maintenance as required including necessary paperwork
!
Maintain invoices for ex lease vehicles
!
Entry/egress control ensuring appropriate sign in process is followed
!
Where requested, provide telephone, email and administrative support for the client
and Deanmac management team
Personal Effectiveness
!
Meet and greet all business clients and notify hosts of their arrival
!
Respond to general enquires, both face to face and via telephone
Security / Emergency Response
!
Monitor fire / evac panels and provide initial response / action where required
!
Conduct patrols of internal buildings and external car parks
!
Coordinated evacuations where necessary
!
Liaise effectively with Police, RWH and other government agencies as required
!
Ensure Deanmac Security force effectively prohibits restricted items as designated
by the client from the facility in accordance with procedures
!
Ensure effective provision of Asset Protection function by Deanmac Security in line
with client/Deanmac procedures.
!
Maintain communications with Deanmac Security management and contemporaries
in accordance with procedures
Occupational Health & Safety
!
Maintain and monitor client facilities ensuring that OH&S risks are identified and
communicated to client/Deanmac as soon as practicable and in accordance with
Line Management/Chain of Command
!
Address and report all OH&S incidents
!
Take effective steps to co-ordinate the mitigation of OH&S risks where possible
Compliance
!
Report non-conformance and preventative action items to the Site Supervisor
!
Operate in accordance with the client Emergency Plans and Deanmac Quality Plan
and Security Procedures, to ensure the safety and security of client facilities
!
Identify, minimise and mitigate against the threat of litigation due to unsound or
unsafe practices, negligence or other causes
!
Complete Incidents Report or OH&S Safety Issues reports as required

Compliance - Continued
!
Ensure records are legible and accurate for the safe provision of service. All
record/filing procedures are to be adhered to in accordance with company
procedures
!
Comply at all times with the Private Security Act and Regulations
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
!
Successfully attained Certificate II in Security Operations
!
A valid security licence (mandatory)
!
Hold a current First Aid Certificate (Apply First Aid)
!
Completed First Aid/CPR refresher course in the last 12 months
!
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the provision of Security services
!
Competent in the use of site specific Portable Fire Equipment and knowledge of site
evacuation plan
!
Intermediate to Advanced Computer skills, which will include the MS Office suite
and database exposure
!
Operate portable radio, pagers and DECT phones.
!
Operate client security systems, including alarm monitoring
!
The ability to negotiate a peaceful outcome to any situation
!
Ability to be decisive and handle situations in a firm, fair and equitable manner
!
Well-developed verbal and written communication skills

The successful incumbent will be required to undergo a Police Check and will be
