Personal Background: Native of Phoenix, Arizona. I am first generation born on my
mother’s side and second on my father’s side. I have a younger sister who is also in the
hospitality industry as a chef for the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. I graduated with a
degree in Hospitality from Northern Arizona University in 1995. I also took a summer
semester in Switzerland at the Les Roches hospitality school. In 2009, Julie was selected
to participate in Rotary’s Group Study Exchange (GSE) Program to Australia for 8
weeks.

Michael and I have been together since 2002. He is from Western Massachusetts, a small
town called Hatfield. He is also in the hospitality industry as the event operations
manager of the Heard Museum. When we are not working, we enjoy traveling, going to
horse racing events, sporting events and entertaining friends and family.

My career started in private country club management, while I was a student at NAU. I
was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to work at places such as Forest Highlands
Golf Club, Aspen Valley Golf Club, Pebble Beach, Sunriver Resort and Crosswater Golf
Club, Tucson Country Club, Desert Mountain and Desert Highlands. My background was
focused in food and beverage operations, which included restaurant operations,
concessions and special events. I was the food and beverage director for Troon Golf
Management, working at Troon North Golf Club and opening up Talking Stick Golf
Club. I transitioned into special events and private parties as the Director of Catering at
the Arizona Country Club, then at the Wrigley Mansion.

please do so at least a week in advance.
Holding an open house is the way
people get to know you in ABA.
Members are encouraged to hold an
open house at least once a year.
• As a courtesy to our speaker, attendance
credit will not be given for anyone
arriving at a meeting after the speaker is
introduced

SEARCH OPTION FOR LEADS
Some have asked how the Leader could be organized in such a way as to summarize the
leads given to each person. You can easily find this information and focus in on your
leads using the Adobe Acrobat Reader that opens your Leader.
Once The Leader is open, click on Edit, then select Search. In the search dialogue
which pops up, enter your first or last name, then click search. It will return all the
instances where your name appears in the Leader. Click on each item on the list to be
taken to that item within the document.
If you have any questions, call Mike or Diana.
LATE CHARGE/COLLECTION POLICY EFFECTIVE June 12, 2007
Accounts 30 days past due will be assessed an additional $20.00 late fee and an
additional $20.00 late fee for each successive 30 day late bill added to the total. These
businesses/members will be published in the leader until the account is brought up to
date.
Accounts 45 days past due will be sent a letter by the board explaining their overdue
payment and requesting a response of their plans to pay their outstanding balance. This
letter will also inform the Business/member of the pending suspension of privileges,
membership and will not be allowed to be the speaker, have a 2 minute commercial or
attend any ABA activities meeting or social until their outstanding balance is paid.
Accounts 60 days past due will be contacted by the Treasurer notifying them of their
suspension and pending assignment to collections. At this time no additional items will
be billed to the suspended member, however to be brought into compliance the

requested by the Business/member for special consideration by the Board of Directors.
The board of directors will judge each request on its merit and will not be bound by
precedent or rule to the disposition of the request.
