How to Register on the Provant Portal
You must register the first time you visit the new Provant portal in 2015, even if
you registered in 2014 to complete your health risk assessment. You will also
create a new username and password, which you will use going forward.
1. Visit gd.provantone.com. Note: This URL is different than the one you may
have used in 2014.
2. Click Sign Up! DO NOT ENTER A USERNAME AND PASSWORD the first
time you visit gd.provantone.com. Once you register, you’ll create a new
username and password to use when you log in going forward.
3. Enter your registration ID in ALL CAPS. Your registration ID is your first name,
followed by your last name and your date of birth (MMDDYYYY). For example:
JOHNSMITH01101970.
Note: If you have a suffix in your name and it typically appears on your benefits
materials, you must include the suffix as part of your registration ID. Include a single
space after your last name and before the suffix. For example: JOHNSMITH
JR01011990.
4. Select your birth date from the drop down tabs.
5. Below the birth date tabs, you’ll see a selection of random letters and numbers.
Enter these characters in the Captcha Code field exactly as you see them.

7. A new screen will appear where you will create your profile. (Some of your information
will automatically populate.)

Enter your first and last name.
•
Select your gender.
•
Enter your height.
•
Select your activity level. (This is an approximation of how much you exercise every
day.)
•
Select your time zone.
•
Select your date formatting preference (MM/DD/YYYY or DD/MM/YYY).
•
Select your preferred measurement system (US or Metric).
•
Create a username. This can be your General Dynamics email address or another
username (for example: [email protected] or johndoe123).
•
Create a password. Enter it twice, once in the Password field and a second time in the
Confirm Password field. Your password must have at least eight characters and
consist of at least one lowercase letter, one uppercase letter, and one number.
•
You’ll enter this username and password when you log in to the Provant portal from
now on.
8. Click Register. You will receive the following message: “You have registered successfully. Please wait while we log you in.”
9. Once you’re logged in, click on the arrow next to welcome in the top right corner of the home page, and select Account
Settings.

10. Choose a password security question and fill in the answer.
This will enable you to reset your password if you forget it
going forward. If you don’t answer the security question
and you forget your password, you’ll need to contact Provant
to reset your password.
11. Follow the instructions below to log back into the portal with
your new username and password.
Logging Back in Once You Have Registered
1. Go to gd.provantone.com.

Call the Provant customer service team
at 888-606-3189 (Monday—Friday, 7am6pm EST) if you are having trouble
registering or logging in.
3. Enter your password.
4. Click Login.
