Dear Parents
FOBS Valentine Discos – Thursday 12th February: Reminder that it is our FOBS Valentine discos for KS1 3.30-5.00 p.m. and KS2
5.30-7.00 p.m. next Thursday. Please note that you will NOT be able to pay on the door but need to pay your £2 in advance by
sending it into school in a named envelope by the latest on Monday 9th February. The payment date has been extended for anyone
that may still wish to join in the disco. Do come along and join in the fun. There will be games and dancing, lasers and lights, bubbles
and smoke and things to buy at the tuck shop! Remember to wear something with red or with hearts! KS1 children who are
attending the discos will be allowed to wear their party clothes during the day. See you there!
Church School Distinctive Award: Congratulations to all the children and staff at our school who have contributed to our
Church School Distinctive Award. Following the submission of a comprehensive portfolio of evidence, Blackburn Diocese
presented the award to our school for “A Whole School Approach to teaching high quality Religious Education”. Well done
everyone!
Chicken Rota – February half term: We are once again looking for families to volunteer to come to school over the
February half term and help look after the school chickens. This will require a daily visit to school to ensure the
chickens have food & water, collect the eggs and place them in egg boxes within the church porch ready for sale. The
job normally takes a maximum of 10 minutes out of your day (we will provide those volunteering with an information
sheet so you will know exactly what to do). Could you schedule in a day or two out of the week to help? If so please
sign up! A calendar will be placed outside the School Office area from Monday next week - we are asking that people
sign up against the days they are available to help – please also include a contact number.
School Meals: If your child wishes to opt in/out of school meals, please could you let Mrs Macartney know a week in advance of the
change. Thank you.
Parents’ Evening: Reminder that Parents’ Evening takes place next Tuesday and Wednesday (10th & 11th February). Appointment
times were sent home earlier in the week.
Eucharist: Eucharist service takes place next Friday at 2.40 p.m. in Church. All family and friends are welcome to attend.
Half Term: School breaks up for the half term holiday at the normal time of 3.30 p.m. on Friday 13th February. Stay & Play will be
