February 27, 2015 ~ 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm
The Fun Fair is the H.C. Storm PTO’s largest fundraiser to raise money for a variety of special events,
assemblies, supplies, and other needs at our school. The money raised makes a difference for the teachers
and students at Storm. With your help, the 2015 Fun Fair will be a great time for everyone!
There are so many ways to support this important fundraiser. This packet will serve as your guide to making
the most of your night. There are opportunities to pre-order, to donate, and to volunteer. Everything you do will
make a difference in the outcome of our fundraiser. Questions? Please feel free to contact Erin Meitzler, Vice

Events
Games: Games will be open from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Purchase a wristband and play all the games you want
during Fun Fair. There will be many new game offerings for all ages and abilities. All prizes will be given at the
game. Wristbands are available for pre-sale for $8 each; at the door you can purchase them for $10 each.
Credit/Debit cards will be accepted for wrist band purchase the night of the event for your convenience ($10
minimum charge required for credit/debit).
Scrumptious Snack Shop: Pizza and Hot Dog Meals are $3.00 (pre-sale only). Meals include a bag of chips
and a drink (water or soda). See our menu later in the packet and have dinner with us!
Cotton Candy: A fan favorite… cotton candy served up by our very own Mr. Craft and Mr. Stanczak.
Adult and Kid Raffle: New this year! You pick your raffle prize- place your ticket(s) in the box next to the
prize(s) you’d like to win. The more tickets you place in the box the greater your odds of winning that prize. Be
sure to write your name and phone number on the back of your ticket, before you put it in the box!!!
Silent Auction and Grade Level Baskets: Check out our fantastic silent auction items and wonderful class
baskets. There are many new and exciting offerings this year! Bidding closes at 7:30 and winners will be
announced after. Credit/debit cards will be accepted at checkout for baskets ($10 minimum charge required
for credit/debit).

Scrumdiddlyumptious 50/50 Split the Pot: write your name on a square and if your letters are called you’ll
be the big winner- you split the pot with the Fun Fair fundraiser! The more squares you purchase, the bigger
your odds. The more squares sold, the bigger the prize! Credit/debit cards accepted for your convenience ($10
minimum charge required for credit/debit).
Lottery Tree: purchase a ticket to win a $100 (face value) worth of lottery tickets. Will you be a big winner and
walk away with more?
Donations Needed
Grade Basket Donations: A favorite part of the Fun Fair Silent Auction is the Grade Baskets that are put
together by donations from our HC Storm families. This year we have decided to offer two baskets per grade.
How can you help make your child’s grade basket a success?
Please consider donating items for your child’s grade level baskets. Feel free to donate to another grade as
well! We will be taking donations from now until February 20th. Boxes will be placed by each grade level for
donations. Watch for more communication with more info and ideas. These baskets are always so much fun-don't miss out! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Ted Kalomiris, grade level basket

Snack Attack Game: This is one of the favorite games for the kids. It involves throwing a hula-hoop over items
set up on the floor, so we are in great need of individually wrapped snack packs and/or bottles of soda pop.

Cake Walk: Please consider a donation to our cake walk. Cupcakes, cakes, cookies- all will be appreciated!

Monetary: Don’t have time to shop for a donation or bake cupcakes but still want to help out…consider making
a monetary donation.
Volunteers: Don't just sit on the sidelines... jump in and be a part of the Fun Fair. Donate your time during one
shift that night... or two. Grab your junior high or high school student to join you and make it a family night. You
say you want to stay with your child during the fun fair…then donate some time to help set-up earlier that day
or helping out after the Fun Fair is over. This is a HUGE area of need, so please consider helping out! Please
watch for communication regarding how you can get involved! Please contact Erin Meitzler at

Raffle/Silent Auction Items Needed
The financial success of this fundraiser depends largely on our Raffle and Silent Auction. Do you own a
business? Does a family member own a business? Does a friend own a business? We are currently looking
for donations, large and small for our silent auction and raffle. A donation in the form of gift certificates,
merchandise, memorabilia, free services, or tickets would make popular prizes in our Raffle and Silent Auction.
Also, cash sponsorships allow us to purchase large ticket items to be the grand prizes in our Raffle. Not only
will your donation help students and teachers, but it will help bring customers into that business on a regular
basis. Donations of over $75 in value will likely be included in our silent auction for increased visibility. Please

interested in donating to this very important aspect of Fun Fair! Our organization is a non-profit organization,
and is recognized under Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Codes so your donation will be considered
