revealed in splendor on the mountaintop before he suffered death upon

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom

evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.
Amen.

Message
“THE MEANING OF THE MOUNTAIN” Pastor Joe DiPaolo
* The Affirmation of Faith
(from 1 Cor. 15:1-6 & Col. 1:15-20; Hymnal no. 888)
Leader: This is the good news which we have received,
in which we stand, and by which we are saved:
People: Christ died for our sins, was buried,
was raised on the third day,
and appeared first to the women,
then to Peter and the Twelve,
and then to many faithful witnesses.
We believe Jesus is the Christ, the Anointed One of God,
the firstborn of all creation, the firstborn from the dead,
in whom all things hold together,
in whom the fullness of God was pleased to dwell
by the power of the Spirit.
Christ is the head of the body, the church,
and by the blood of the cross
reconciles all things to God. Amen.

Praise him above ye heavenly host.

PRAISE MUSIC LYRICS
Hosanna
I see the King of glory
I see a near revival
Coming on the clouds with fire
Stirring as we pray and seek
The whole earth shakes
We're on our knees, we're on our knees
The whole earth shakes
Chorus
I see His love and mercy
Washing over all our sin
The people sing
The people sing
Chorus
Hosanna, hosanna
Hosanna in the highest (x 2)
I see a generation
Rising up to take the place
With selfless faith, with selfless faith
Heal my heart and make it clean
Open up my eyes to the things unseen
Show me how to love like You have
loved me
Break my heart for what breaks Yours
Everything I am for Your Kingdom's
cause
As I walk from earth into eternity
Chorus
10,000 Reasons
The sun comes up it's a new day dawning
It's time to sing Your song again
Whatever may pass and whatever lies before
me
Let me be singing when the evening comes
You're rich in love and You're slow to anger
Your name is great and Your heart is kind
For all Your goodness I will keep on singing
Ten thousand reasons for my heart to find
And on that day when my strength is failing
The end draws near and my time has come
Still my soul will sing Your praise unending
Ten thousand years and then forevermore
Ending
Worship Your holy name
Lord I'll worship Your holy name
Chorus
Bless the Lord O my soul
O my soul
Worship His holy name
Sing like never before
O my soul
I'll worship Your holy name
Shout To The Lord
My Jesus my Saviour
Lord there is none like You
All of my days I want to praise
The wonders of Your mighty love
My comfort my shelter
Tower of refuge and strength
Let every breath all that I am
Never cease to worship You
Chorus
Shout to the Lord
All the earth let us sing
Power and majesty
Praise to the King
Mountains bow down
And the seas will roar
At the sound of Your name
I sing for joy
At the work of Your hands
Forever I'll love You
Forever I'll stand
Nothing compares to the promise
I have in You

The Nuclear World Outside the Reactor
(led by Shawn Seeley)
When we hear the word “radiation,” many of us automatically picture
disaster—whether it be a nuclear bomb or a reactor that could wreak havoc
if it malfunctions. But there are many alternative uses of radioactive
materials that improve our lives daily. These uses include medical scans,
cancer therapy, determining paper thickness, product sterilization, and other
research purposes. Join us in the church parlor on Saturday, February 28th
at 7:30 a.m. for our Men’s Breakfast and discussion, led by Shawn Seeley
on this fascinating subject.

Themes of pride, family, relationships, conflict, and journey are all
showcased in the best known stories of creation, Noah, Abraham, Isaac,
Jacob & Rebekah, and Joseph. Email Katie McNabb ([email protected])
for further details and our class schedule!

SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES (9:15 A.M.)
* ALL - NEW *
[COUNTING ROOM]
[1st room on the right as you exit the elevator on 1R]
We are delighted to announce the launch of our NEW “young adult” Sunday
school class, and we are eager for new folks to join us! We are starting out
by studying individuals in the Bible—making connections between their
lives and ours. (By the way, we have a broad definition of the term “Young
Adult,” so please let Pastor Joe ([email protected]), John Sedunov
([email protected]), or Elizabeth Sedunov ([email protected])
know if you are interested or have questions!)
“HOLY COW!”
[TOP FLOOR; LIBRARY]
ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS
Our mission on Sunday mornings is to learn about the
Bible as we enjoy each other's fellowship. We are
fortunate to have some Bible Scholars in our midst who
have volunteered to share their wisdom. We enjoy a
section each week called, "who knew" where we do on
the spot searches (via Google, etc.) of any questions we
have. We love finding out new Bible facts and insights!
We are currently studying the Psalms under the
leadership of Anne Childs. Next month, our leaders will
be the DiPaolo sisters, Christy and Laura. Please join us
in the top floor library during Sunday school hour for our classes!
ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS
[PARLOR]
Does It Really Say that in the Bible?
Our newest study series, starting next Sunday, February 22nd, will be led
by our very own Katie McNabb, discussing some of the issues covered in
her recently-published work—Does It Really Say that in the Bible? Join us
for this enlightening look into many common assumptions about the Bible
and how we can approach confusing passages in such a way that pleases our
heavenly father.
SERMON NOTES:
KEEP OUR CHURCH FAMILY CONNECTED!
Please show your love and support with a card or letter to those who are not

Our stewardship, our giving, is a reflective response to God’s grace in our
lives. Giving is a response of the heart which allows us to do God’s work
here on earth, in gratitude for all He has done for us. Giving also allows
WUMC to sustain our beautiful worship surroundings and the plethora of
Christ-centered activities which take place here. As members of WUMC, we
promise to support God’s work in Wayne through our attendance, our time
and our offerings. Following is a snapshot of our weekly numbers toward
