Ash Wednesday Service, February 18th
Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of our Lenten journey. During this worship experience,
we will acknowledge our sinfulness and our mortality knowing that our hope is in the Christ
who offers forgiveness and new life. Ashes are mentioned in scripture as a symbol of
purification and repentance and Christian churches began to use ashes to mark the beginning
of Lent in the 10th century. As part of the worship service, the imposition of ashes will be
offered and our Chancel Choir will enhance our worship with their offerings.
6th Annual Great Day of Service
For the 6th time CSUMC will journey into the Beaufort community with the compassion of
Jesus Christ. Be a part of this life changing experience by signing up by February 25th. If
you did not receive a letter and sign up form in the mail, please pick one up in the entrances
to the church today.
